  • Fine, not great

    3/5

The house had basic necessities but nothing beyond that. For example, the temp dropped and we got a little chilly and wanted blankets to use on the couches in the evening, but there were none. We had to pull comforters off the beds to use and then downstairs and then take them back upstairs at bedtime. My kids also like sleeping with extra pillows, but again, there were no extras. Also, no coasters. We had to keep bringing napkins with all our drinks so we didn’t leave rings on the furniture. We were hoping the kids could play in the fenced in area while we sat on the back porch. The porch and all seating was covered in leaves with nothing to clear it off with. The backyard is not as pictured and is very overgrown. We were unable to use those areas. The inside was as pictured and covered our needs and the location is great.

    Manager's Response:

Hi Jen, thanks for your review! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: Thank you for choosing to stay with us! Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we genuinely appreciate your insights. We concur that having additional throw blankets for the downstairs furniture would be a valuable enhancement. The suggestion of extra pillows for each bed is well-founded. Coasters, undoubtedly, are essential for safeguarding our furniture from moisture damage. Additionally, we acknowledge the need for some improvements in our backyard area. Your constructive suggestions are highly regarded, and we are committed to addressing them. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall, and anticipate your return to witness the implementation of your valuable suggestions.

  • Lake house

    4/5

The house is just like the pictures minus the backyard which is overgrown and unable to be used. Upon arrival we did have a problem with the keypad not working, luckily the communication was quick and they were able to tell us where to find the spare key. Rooms were just as pictured - upstairs does get quite warm but not unbearable. One of the spare rooms has a door that doesn't shut correctly but it didn't hinder our stay. Location is good - neighbors are a bit interesting. There was a great park with swimming area and playground close by that we were able to use. Communicating with the property manager was great - they were always quick to answer. Didn't know what to do about the garbage though and the cans were already full when we arrived so that was a bit odd. Felt bad leaving bags all around the outdoor cans but it is what it is. Overall it was a good lake house and served our needs with two families.
