The house and location were nice. Cons were an abundance of weeds on the front of the property which was unprofessional for that price range. It took awhile to obtain access to extra toiletries. Dock was full of cob webs and spiders. Probably would not use Evolve or stay at the home again due to the lack of professionalism.
Hi Jace, we are happy to hear that you thought the home and the location were nice! We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- Although we do our best to keep the outdoor area clean if there are a few days between guest check-out and the next check-in, it is certainly possible for Mother Nature to affect the outdoor area once our cleaning crew has left.
- As is standard for vacation rentals, the homeowner provides a starter supply of paper essentials for guests’ convenience. Guests may have to purchase their additional supplies, especially for longer stays or larger groups.
We always work with guests when issues arise and apologize that we were unable to come to the resolution you were hoping for. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!
We enjoyed our stay at the house! It’s a short walk down to the water which was very convenient. It’s on a busy part of the lake, but we swam every day off the dock and used the kayaks and lake pad in the shed which was fun. The house was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of room for our family to enjoy some time together. A couple things to note/pack when you stay here. 1. There are no wash cloths in the house anywhere, so bring some if you use those. 2. The king bed in the basement is incredibly uncomfortable, dipped on each side, and super soft - so plan accordingly. 3. The wifi is very spotty, so we used the time to unplug and relax, but it won’t work if you plan to work from home at this house. 4. The ice maker downstairs doesn’t work, but we just used the ice from the freezer upstairs and it was fine. 5.There are no curtains on the queen rooms (main floor and upstairs), so if you want to sleep in a little, bring something to cover those. We had a great time and would stay again!

We very much enjoyed our long weekend at this lake house. We could tie up our boat to the dock, and the view from the screened porch is very relaxing. It is a compact house, but had everything we needed. Kayaks and a SUP were an added bonus! The fire pit was also nice for making s'mores. We would book this house again!
