  • Our stay at Waters Edge

    This was our first time ever using Vrbo and booking a place unknown to us that was not a hotel. It would have been very nice to have more information on the website of what was already provided and what we would have to bring (coffee pot or Kcups, hairdryer, towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc.)

    Bath mats would have been helpful by the showers.

    Door knob to front/main door should have been fixed prior to our arrival- needs to be updated.

    It was difficult to use both couch beds due to the set up in living room. Both cannot be used at the same time and we had 6 people.

    TV in living area was not usable- no sound. Communication with property manager, however, was very good concerning the TV and other questions. (A phone call was returned but I was not able to check my voicemail until it was too late.)

    Parking passes and more pool bracelets were brought the next day.

    Dates were Sunday July 14, 4 pm to Tuesday July 16, 10 AM.

    We were disappointed that the owner/agent (Evolve) had a policy of only 1 key for the unit and 1 hang tag for the parking garage. This made our stay very difficult when in fact we had to leave the unit unlocked so that family wouldn't be locked out. The TV didn't work and the garbage disposal didn't work. I will say, however, they were available per phone to communicate with us. We had to rent a 2nd unit so that we had enough parking tags and pool tags. Thank God for The Water's Edge that helped us out at a discount. I will not rent from Evolve again. Sorry, just too many restrictions

    Hi Cathy Lynn, we truly appreciate your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:
    -The restrictions regarding parking passes are set by the association, and it is customary to provide only one pass for a one-bedroom unit. This can be a common issue at many resort locations, especially during peak seasons.
    -Our records indicate that the booking initially requested four wristbands, which were left in the unit. Upon notification of the need for additional wristbands, we promptly provided them the next morning.
    -We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the nonworking disposal. While we were not notified of this issue during your stay, it was brought to our attention by the subsequent guest in the evening during their stay​​​​​​​​​​​​​​. We promptly arranged for a plumber to go out to the condo within two hours to resolve the issue.
    -The key management process has generally been smooth. Our property management company, Evolve, suggested leaving the key in the lockbox upon departure for convenient access by subsequent guests. We understand that you found this solution satisfactory.
    We truly do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

    We are working with a new cleaning crew and without details were unable to specify the issues you ran across. However, we will talk with them about the details and the importance of taking their time with each cleaning to ensure we are 100% guest-ready.
