• Relaxing in nature

  The grands absolutely loved all the nature in the yard. We saw deer, rabbits, birds, squirrels and lots of groundhogs. The pool was amazing. Only downfalls were how the kitchen was stocked. No measuring devices, can opener, paring knife or toaster. The beds, while noisy when getting in and out were ahmazing. So comfy. You could easily sleep 14 in this home.

  The house was not in the best repair, the master bath room leaked through the kitchen ceiling, the grass was over a foot tall making it difficult to walk through with our dog. The featured pool was not useable because of the dirty dark green water. I caught three mice inside the house over the length of stay which was not an expected activity. The new fire pit and the chairs on the pool deck were a nice touch but as previously mentioned they were unusable. The overall interior of the house was good and met the needs of our group. On a positive note Karen our contact was extremely helpful and allowed a later checkout following a family medical emergency.

  - We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. The kitchen ceiling leak was caused by a small plumbing issue with the primary sink, which has now been fixed by a plumber.
  - The lawn is regularly cared for now, and the fire pit and chairs on the pool deck are fully functional.
  - We've hired a professional pool service to maintain the pool, ensuring it's clean and ready for use.
  - We've implemented a strict schedule for professional pest control, including sealing all openings and using repellents to prevent mice from entering.

• Unprepared & Unsafe

  First, the property was unprepared for guests. Key features were not ready to use: the pool water was green and murky (in May) despite specific asks to have it prepared and despite it being prominently displayed on the listing as a major feature of the property. The refrigerator was not on so perishable items could not be kept cold for 24 hours. The Wi-Fi did not work upon arrival.

  Second, there were structural issues with the property, some of which were unsafe. The kitchen ceiling was leaking water onto the floor. The driveway had a large hole dug across it leading to the walkway that someone could have stepped into and fallen. The walkway had not only overhanging bushes that needed to be ducked under, but also loose steps that caused several of our group to trip and fall. The interior furniture contained chairs that were missing arms and backings, with some exposed sharp edges or even metal staples.

  Other than that, the property was heated/cooled, had beds and linens, and had running water. The grill and firepit were available as expected.
