• Disappointing Stay

  This property has great potential but is sorely lacking in upkeep. As we pulled into the driveway we were taken aback by the amount of clutter in and around the outside. When we went to use the keyless entry you could not even see the numbers in order to enter the code. It took several tries to "guess" the location of the numbers. When we opened the door the dirty laundry from the last tenant was still there which was an indicator to us that the place had not been cleaned. We were an hour after the appropriate time to check in so our expectations were that the place would be ready for us. My husband had to call repeatedly to get any kind of response.

  We will give kudos to the cleaning crew that did finally arrive. They did a great job of getting the place ready.

  The house itself is very cluttered. The two closets in the main area of the house are filled with items that would not be useful for guests and there was no place to find additional towels, etc. The smoke detector was not connected (No cover plate or battery). The living area was cluttered as well.

  As mentioned above we believe that this property could be very nice, but the owners need to rid it of all the clutter and make it a homier atmosphere. It would also be helpful to have a notebook with instructions about how to use the mechanicals and general information about the property.

  We typically are not ones to complain about lodging. We have simple expectations which were not met.

  Thank you for your constructive feedback. I have had fire alarms professionally installed and hired a new housekeeper as the storage room was indeed a mess. I would like to note however that room is labeled “not for guest use” as it is a supply room. I hope if you choose to return you find the property in much better condition.

  The cottage was well stocked with spices and cookware (allowed me to cook every meal at home!) and very beautifully decorated. There were plenty of recommendations and ease of access to local hiking trails. Beautiful home and would love to stay here again!

• Small shower

  The shower is probably one thing that bugged me . My nine year old was the only one who didn’t have trouble showering, super small . My boyfriend is 6’2” and his long arms was hard to move around. Shaving legs for a lady is interesting .

• A unique getaway

  Very beautiful cabin especially inside, very well taken care of,not to far from attractions and shops, looking forward to coming back
