Very nice quiet place just to recoup from stress. Need to label the light switch’s some didn’t turn anything on some did turn on lights. Just trying to find the right switch was difficult.

Very unique property. Property manager is very responsive.

Location was great, however a number of issues caused the trip to go downhill fast. There are no doors on the upstairs bedrooms and no curtains, so no privacy. There were no fans as well as the advertised no ac, so at 90+F it was very uncomfortable to try and sleep. This was made worse by the construction of more cabins next door which started at 7am!!!!The windows lacked screens, so you couldn’t even open the windows to get some breeze/cool down otherwise the multitude of mosquitoes would eat you alive. There were also no sponges to clean dishes which was important given that there wasn’t a dishwasher in the kitchen.

Hi David, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
-We are aware that the upstairs bedrooms do not have doors or curtains, and we are looking into options to provide more privacy for our guests.
-The property has four ceiling fans and now two additional floor fans to help with cooling. We understand that the high temperatures can be uncomfortable and appreciate your patience.
-We are in the process of installing screens on the doors to allow for better ventilation without the issue of mosquitoes.
-We provide washcloths and dish towels for cleaning and are considering adding
disposable sponges for guests' convenience.
Thanks again, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels!
The place was fine. It was clean and neat. However, we learned during the check in process that there was no air conditioning. It did say make sure to close and lock the windows when you leave. So, I thought may be hot during the day, but we won't be there anyway. But I pictured beautiful breezes at night with temps in the 50-60s. However, there was only one window in the place and it had no screen. Can't have unscreened windows open in the woods. We paid for 3 bedrooms but the 73 year old woman had to sleep on the couch in the living room to get any air at all from a ceiling fan. The other rooms were semi usable after driving 30 miles to the nearest store to purchase small fans. The last night there it was too hot for anyone to sleep. I realize it was not their fault there was a tremendous heat wave but in the middle of the night it was 86 degrees inside, and no moving air. That is unsafe and absolutely ruined the trip.
Maybe its a good place in the winter but definitely not the summertime. It was like living in an oven. So very disappointed.
