• Too hot in the house to sleep at night

  We were very disappointed with our stay. There is no air conditioning in the bedrooms so no one could get much sleep at night even with the doors open. The wifi was too spotty for work calls. The location, the layout, the kitchen, and the view were nice, but totally not worth the price we paid.

  -Regarding the Wifi, we genuinely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. Under normal circumstances, the Wifi is indeed robust and dependable. However, in this particular instance, it appears that the entire area was facing intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity. Upon reaching out to our service provider, we discovered that this was a broader issue that regrettably lay beyond our control.

  The beds are comfortable. The location is quiet with easy access to everything in Hood River. The apartment is clean and feels like home. We loved it. Sergio is a responsible caretaker who helped us whenever we needed anything at all.

  The unit was spotless; had a nice deck with a view of Mt. Baker. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The secondary bedroom bed was very uncomfortable-it was a bunk with a double on the bottom; it squeaked every time it moved and the mattress was only supported by round tubing that created an uncomfortable mattress. For a short stay, it would be thoughtful for the owner to leave small bars of soap or body wash in the showers. Also one dishwashing pod was insufficient. The unit was well appointed and comfortable.

• Pleasant Stay

  There were many things I enjoyed at this property plus some things I wish I had known.

  Things I enjoyed:

  Check in was easy and hassle free (just be sure to let Sergio know you need the code. It won't be sent automatically)

  In-unit laundry was really handy.

  Beds and pillows were super comfortable.

  Nice linens on the beds and in bathrooms.

  Unit was clean upon arrival

  Kitchen was well stocked with what we needed.

  Comfortable patio furniture!

  The unit is dated but has some nice finishes.

  Things I wish I had known:

  There are no toiletries available, so be sure to bring your own soap/shampoo.

  Unit has a "window shaker" A/C in the dining room (behind the gray curtain in the photos). This cooled the living room well, but not the bedrooms. It is also loud, so it was difficult to watch TV with it on.

  No screens in the bedroom windows so couldn't open them for fresh air.

  No security lock (aside from keypad) on the front door.

  The view is more of a "peekaboo" of the mountain and the patio overlooks a street and several businesses.

  Shower curtain is mildewed.

  The bunk beds in the second bedroom are very squeaky so when moving in bed it is pretty noisy.

  Overall this was convenient and met our needs. If I wanted a more luxurious stay (we used this as our jump off point for gorge activities) I would select another property but for our purposes it worked great.

  - The A/C unit was recently serviced, and it is in good working condition. Additionally, a new mini split has been installed in the master bedroom to enhance comfort.
  - Unfortunately, a previous tenant damaged the window screen by accidentally pushing it down. We've had new custom-made screens put in to replace the damaged ones.
  - To ensure security, we've added a new security lock.
  - The view showcased in the listing photos accurately represents what guests can expect. We're sorry to hear that caught you off guard.
  - We've since replaced the shower curtain for our guests' convenience.
  - The bunk bed screws have been tightened.
