• Paid $500 to clean up a dead cat *SCAM*

  Everything was off from the beginning. I tried to contact the property management company to schedule an event but got no reply. I think it's pretty obvious that when you set up two different homes on one property that is 10 acres of land people are going to rent it for events. I was told by Vrbo that I wasn't allowed to rent the other building on the property.

  Again, we had reached out several times to coordinate an event here because the listing says to contact for an event. When I finally spoke with the owner he admitted that he usually let events happen there for $500 more. At this point we had already called in a friend who works on taxidermy animals to clean out a dead cat from the barn.

  The property manager did not send out the check-in instructions until an hour later and when told about the wedding that would b The owner of the property is very hostile towards guest and not hospitable at all. He came to the property about 15 times during our stay just to watch us. This made my 19yo sister feel so uncomfortable that she wasn't even able to stay overnight as originally planned and she had to stay in our place while we stayed on there

  Devon, this homeowner works hard to provide an ideal stay for all guests, so they were surprised by your feedback.
  Owner's response: "We try to provide all our guests with what they need and we feel we went above and beyond to assist with your event even if this is not normal as we do not allow events to occur unless they are approved beforehand. We were more than generous because we didn't want to ruin the wedding.
  - We take incredible care of our property and if you had alerted us to the dead cat we would have disposed of it immediately. Our property manager is on site daily and we have not seen or smelled any dead animals.
  - The check-in instructions were sent hours before your arrival, they are sent to the person who books the property. The person who asked for the check-in information was someone with a different name and number.
  
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."
