Overall the stay was good. The cabin is awesome. There are some things were dated, and the fridge needs to be fixed.

It was an interesting stay. I am usually the one who books these trips, I look at what is there to do on the property, will it be sufficient for my family/in-laws. This time it was a little off, there was water coming down from the ceiling above, I thought I was losing my mind, but there was water coming down, near the television and I was nervous to leave the television plugged into the wall thinking it may cause a fire. It was misting, but then it was like raindrops, so I put a towel down and yes I had contacted the property owner once we noticed there was an issue and they emailed back saying the incident was taken care of, but the next morning it did the same thing, I figured, they MUST know this is an issue. So that was a BIG scare for me and it made me weary of that room. The kitchen, the kitchen the heart and soul of every home, but everything looked as if it had been thrown in the drawers, randomly, it was frustrating, the ice dispenser on the fridge was not working, the oven did not look like it had been cleaned in awhile, utensils did had leftover food from previous usage, one of the remotes had no batteries. It was a good stay, but I think for the price, it should have been better. The best part of the trip was the pond, it was so fun and when it began to rain, it was complete bliss.

Hi Debbie Iris, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
- Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay.
- There was a problem with the AC unit in the cabin, where the drain plug was clogged. This caused water to drip from the drain pan under the unit, leading to a small, steady drip. Jamie and her team responded quickly and cleaned out the plug. However, we understand that the next morning you experienced additional dripping from the ceiling. Following your checkout, we contacted the HVAC service technician, who serviced the entire system and replaced several parts. Everything is now functioning correctly. We appreciate your patience, and we're relieved that the issue did not significantly disrupt your stay.
- We strive to keep the kitchen drawers organized, but it can be challenging when guests move items around. We will make a more concerted effort to ensure everything is in its proper place. As for the ice dispenser, we will double-check its functionality to ensure it is working correctly. Regarding the remote batteries, we replace them regularly, but sometimes they go missing between guest stays. Jamie and her team carry spare batteries for this reason and respond promptly to any requests.
- We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the pond and that it added to the overall experience of your trip. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will use it to improve our services for future guests.
We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
The cabin was beautiful, clean and well equipped. It was quiet and peaceful... Were there for the eclipse and it was amazing. Nice little town with many things to do and see.

From the owner: "Thank you for the glowing 5-star review! We were thrilled to hear you had a wonderful stay. Come back anytime!"
Whistling Duck was absolutely amazing. This was our first time in Broken Bow and I promise it won't be our last. Your accommodations were perfect from my 2 yr old granddaughter to my 70 yr old mother and mother in law And everyone in between. We fell absolutely in love. This has now turned into an annual trip for me and my family.
