  We asked if we could check in early, Gene said yes. He was having some Amish people there to fix the pool. He said they would be gone by noon, one at the latest. We arrive at 2:30 and the Amish are still there??? Gene said if I was not happy he would refund our money. He never did. I have texts to back this up. He also sent me a text that our money would be refunded in two hours. That was days ago. Now he just ignores me. So we did not stay because the Amish were still there. My husband thought it was to rural and we would have stayed if the Amish weren’t there. I really think Gene needs to honor his word, which apparently is not that great. I’d never recommend this to anyone!!!!

• PERFECT GETAWAY

  We had a wonderful time; everything was exactly as described. Very private, which was exactly what we wanted. Very clean and comfortable, looking forward to staying longer next year.

  From the owner: "Thank you Linda for the 5-star review. I enjoyed talking with you when I was putting the grill together. I now have 2 recliners to bake in the sun on. I am having a new deck installed next week. I'm going to use your advice and paint it a lighter color so it doesn't get so hot. I know the internet is not the greatest, but we still use "twisted pair" copper cables! I have found that rebooting the router helps, also, if there are phones, TVs and laptops all running, that slows down the speed. Again, thank You for the kind words and I hope to welcome you back soon."

• Pool Staycation

  I chose this place for its private pool and the fenced in yard for my dog. Everything was as shown in the pictures, and I had a lovely, relaxing stay. The property manager was helpful and very quick to respond to questions.
