• Was filthy when arrived. Couch had a 2' stain and never vacuumed. Hot water heater produced no heat.

  When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was a huge 2 foot stain on the couch that had white specs all over it. After further investigation it was filthy, never been vacuumed dirt all over the floor. I have pictures and videos, if anybody would like to contact me, arrived at 11:30 PM jumped into the bed got up at 7 AM for a work meeting and found that there was no hot water to take a shower. I stayed three days without hot water even after alerting the host that the place was filthy couch was dirty and stained and dirt all over the floor, showing her videos and pictures. She never send anybody out to clean it. The place had nicks and dings in the walls very uncapped you'd be better off getting a best western hotel.

• Would have appreciated more amenities

  Property interior was in good condition. We arrived at dusk, didn't see the black electronic access box--tried to use the code we'd been given on the metal lockbox; proprietor responded quickly to a phone call to indicate the metal lockbox was unnecessary. We missed laundry and dishwasher detergent (bought these ourselves), soap and conditioner in the shower dispensers (small quantities were provided on bedside tables, though), and ice (bought this ourselves). WiFi signal was weak and intermittent--we lost connection frequently; TV remote was ineffective, even after we changed batteries, and when (rarely) the TV did receive a signal, it took three or four seconds to respond, so navigating the "smart" TV system was a lost cause. We were grateful for the space, but disappointed by some of the advertised amenities being less than we've encountered at other VRBOs.

• Fantastic Location

  The Good: Amazing location! Couldn't ask for better access to the Short North! The kitchen was also super clean and the new appliances were greatly appreciated!The Bad: Bedrooms were less impressive... and one bed was even missing a pillow case. The floors did not appear to be swept either. The Confusing: Check-in process was a little clumsy. Instructions say, " accessible via keyless entry," but there are actually two separate key locks located at the front entrance: a digital one on the door itself and a realtor-style key box... and the key box is the one you are supposed to access with the given code. Also, check-out instructions ask to take the trash out, but does not specify where exactly the trash should go. Overall a very pleasing experience though despite just a couple short-comings!
