  Rental was nothing like the photos. The full bathroom was on the first floor off the kitchen so you had to shower downstairs then go upstairs. One bedroom was a futon, not a queen bed. Very old and outdated. Not sure if the smoke detectors were even up to code. Outside furniture was not even cleaned or set up nicely. My husband ended up pulling weeds just so we could sit outside, not in weeds. Black ants and flying ants in living room. Other issues but overall a disappointing stay.

  -Firstly, we want to address the outdoor area. We regularly work with a professional landscaper to maintain the garden and patio, especially given our challenging weather conditions with frequent rains and strong winds. Unfortunately, these conditions can quickly alter the appearance of outdoor spaces, despite our best efforts to keep them tidy. We're grateful for your patience and apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our team has already treated the area for weeds and replaced patio cushions that were delayed due to backorders.
  -Regarding the interior layout and amenities, we understand the inconvenience caused by the full bathroom's location on the first floor. We strive to clearly communicate the unique characteristics of our remodeled farmhouse in our listings, and based on your feedback, we will update our listing descriptions to reflect these details accurately, including the queen futon set up in the third bedroom.
  -We assure you that all smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers are checked annually for functionality and compliance with safety standards.
  -Our home is situated on nearly 2 acres in the countryside, which means insects can occasionally be an issue. We've instructed our team to handle the ant problem in the living room. They plan to treat the outside perimeter with a pet-friendly ant treatment once the weather conditions allow, as it's crucial for the area to be dry during application. This is a routine maintenance task we perform annually around this time.
  -Additionally, our housekeeping team strives diligently to maintain the home's appearance as depicted in the listing photos. However, please note that due to normal wear and tear, items such as bedspreads, sheets, towels, tablecloths, runners, and dish towels may be replaced periodically. Rest assured, all furniture and fittings remain consistent with those shown in last year's photographs.
  -We regret that we were not made aware of these issues during your stay, as we would have made every effort to address them immediately. We are committed to providing an enjoyable and comfortable experience for all our guests and would have appreciated the opportunity to improve your experience while you were still with us.

  Just what we needed: Very cute space in main gathering area. Hot tub was a delight. Near a grocery store within a few minutes which was ideal!

• Thanksgiving Retreat

  We were very happy to stay here for our Thanksgiving vacation seeing family. We were greeted with a homemade coffeecake, hot cocoa k cups as well as a few candies for the kiddos along with some complimentary coffee as well (only a few of our party drink coffee though haha!) Spent a day at The Strong Museum of Play which was PHENOMENAL!

  The location of this rental was very nice and "remote" settled in between farm lands but still only 10 minutes or so from convenience and grocery stores.

  We would definitely consider coming here again next Thanksgiving. Thank you!

• Country retreat close to city activities

  This was perfect for its purpose. We were attending a family reunion in Rochester but wanted to be away from it all. Settled among farm fields and with vistas across the country-side, this was a very private property with plenty of yard for the dog, fresh air and clear sky. We were able to be in the city in 25 minutes and back out for a dip in the hot tub, drinks on the back patio, and to unwind and rest.
