1/5 I booked this property for a week stay. The property had a few bad reviews about cleanliness but as a mom of 4 kids and 2 dogs, my clean standards are

Quick weekend for a show
1/5 The place was not cleaned, the smoke alarms did not work, the sinks did not drain, the sheets were rough, and the bed mattress had major staining.

4/5 I traveled to Syracuse for a continuing education course for work. My mom came with me and we brought my dog. The house being pet friendly was great & the yard was a huge bonus! We enjoyed the safe and comfortable immediate surrounding area and weren’t afraid to take my dog out for a walk in the neighborhood. Vanessa was very helpful in answering questions and even door dashed us toilet paper when we arrived since there was only 1 roll available at that time! Towels were plentiful and clean.
Some recommendations to improve the guest experience:
1) updated bedding and new mattresses - while the beds were comfortable enough, one comforter had obvious stains on it & both beds were absolutely covered in large yellow stains when we removed the bedding as requested at the end of our stay - not only would updated new linens & mattresses improve the look of the rooms, but would also improve cleanliness and comfort. I would also recommend mattress protectors if you get new mattresses to avoid the giant yellow stains all over the bed, make it easier to really, truly clean the beds, & extend longevity or the mattresses.
2) the lawn could use a good mow to make it easier to clean up after our pet friends (it is still early in the spring though, so this wasn’t a huge deal & it was totally understandable that it wasn’t mowed yet)
Overall I’d probably stay here again & would even recommend it to a friend, however I’d be even more likely if I knew the beds/linens were updated :)
