Unique rental
5/5 Very nice unit. The main bed was an adjustable bed and wonderful. Well appointed kitchen. The second bedroom is in the church tower of the building and the bell is still installed. The bell pull is in the bedroom and guests are instructed when they can ring the bell. We rang the church bell twice and it was fun! The steps up to this second floor unit are kinda steep. Not too bad, but noticeable. We really liked this place and would stay again when we are in the area.

"Heavenly" (pun intended), Spacious, unique, well equipped with exceptional extras
4/5 The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars was because of no returned calls regarding problems discovered shortly after we arrived. The garbage disposal was not working and the sink on that side was very slow draining. Also the cabinet door below that side of the sink would not stay closed and slowly swung out in the way. I called the first number to report the problems and left a message stating the problems. Since I didn't get a call back, I called the other number the next day and again left a message. We were there 5 nights and never got a call back nor had the problems fixed. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay. Our hosts had left a very nice welcome card and a bottle of local Merlot wine for us when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of a variety of complimentary pods for the Keurig coffee maker. Laundry soap was provided for the nice washer and dryer. The bed in the master bedroom is Queen size (not King size as stated in the descriptions), but a nice surprise was the adjustable bed frame with massage. We used this feature to sit up in bed and drink a relaxing cup of coffee before we started our day of adventures. Although the postal address is Stanley, NY, the actual location is in the little town of Gorham, Southwest of Stanley. This is located one building away from a busy and noisy intersection in the morning. Traffic noise starts at about 5:30 in the morning. If you want to be a late riser, you might want to take this into consideration. All things considered, we would stay here again.
