Great location, great communication
4/5 We had a family of 2 staying here to meet other families for a prolonged outdoor trip. The house was cozy. The downstairs was awesome to sequester the kids. The washer/dryer was a huge plus! The location was an easy walk to Baker Mountain trailhead. My friend every morning walked to town to get us coffee. The Evolve team that manages the property was great - real quick on responses and very accommodating (we really appreciated an earlier check in and they made it happen!) A few small reasons for a star off-1. The main floor didn’t appear to be clean upon check.We all took off our shoes when we got there and could feel a lot of grit on the floor so we swept and cleaned real quick.2. The neighbor told us it was fine to park on the street. (We already had 1 car parked in the allotted space.) One night when we came home the only available slot was in front of his home so we took it. The next day he complained that we should not block his house. So I guess you can park on the street, only not in front of his house.3. While the view was nice of the creek in the back, you really cannot go into the water from the property. We’ve rented many properties with streams/creeks that kids can easily play in. But this is definitely not one of them so keep an eye out on the kids.4. When we ran the dishwasher the last night there was no dishwasher pellets in the box! Please make sure to check this upon check in so you aren’t in the position to improvise or get some last minute!

- Our listing states "waterfront views" and doesn't state water access from the property. We regret any misunderstandings.

5/5 We (two families with young kids) spent a wonderful winter weekend here. The house was clean and updated, with plenty of room for kids. Easy walk into town and easy drive to Lake Placid, Whiteface, and other attractions. And a very responsive host (who allowed us early check in and late check out), to boot. We’ll be back!
