  This is an outstanding lake front property on a lake with no gas engines, providing a very peaceful laid back option in this region of NY State. The outdoor seating options and new fire pit patio at the lake front are exceptional spaces to enjoy the day. Provided kayaks are a nice touch. The home is nicely updated, a brand new kitchen and bathroom nicely upscale this lake home, which is very clean and the landscaping is very nice. Firewood was provided to take advantage of the fire pit. We didn't want to leave and we will definitely be back. Communication with the owners was excellent, details for area restaurants and shopping were provided ahead of time without asking, very nice touch. We enjoyed the property so much, we hit the grocery store and chose to stay home for all our meals. A great option for access to Bethel Woods Concert Venue, we caught a concert on Friday night, some heavy traffic near the venue, allow at least an hour to access Woodstock! Highly recommend this VRBO!

• Great get-away

  Comfortable and very clean house in a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Wanaksink. Great outdoor sitting areas, one of them steps from the lake and the other close to the house with table and umbrella. While the lake is large and scenic and without motor boats, as swimmers we were a bit disappointed how shallow the water is. Houses are close by.

  The town of Rock Hill has a great grocery store and Dutch's pub provides satisfying fare, with an outside sitting area.

• Very relaxing

  We had a great relax few days at the lake. The house was very clean and beautiful. Maureen was amazing. A few days before our stay she emailed me restaurant recommendations in the area and grocery stores. We definitely will be returning.

  We wanted a place on a lake in the early fall and this did not disappoint. We kayaked (nice newer kayaks), built fires, napped and read; very isolated. The house was clean and had good kitchen supply including wine opener, knives and extras like dw detergent, paper towels, salt and pepper etc. I recommend for an easy drivable getaway from multiple east coast cities.Warning: the house next door shares the lakefront. Luckily no one was renting while we were there but you should be aware.
