Great experience checking in and getting help during the stay. The layout of apt 1 is a little weird. You can only get to the bedroom through the bathroom. Little awkward if you've got to take care of "business." Upstairs guests were very loud at times sounded like they were building something.
Kitchen was well stocked; bed was comfy. Futon sofa not the most comfy, but the leather chairs were VERY comfy.
Okay. So the pictures are great, kinda like that selfie that you set up to show you in your best light at just the right angle. The reality was a once beautiful home, subdivided poorly into multiple apartments, with some atrocious DIY, decorated and appointed with second hand stuff and rapidly sliding into decay. In all, it reeked of despair.
Owner's response: "Christine, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you.
- Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I'm just very happy that the majority of our guests have enjoyed our home and appreciated the decor, location, cleanliness, spaciousness, and ambiance. We have over twenty, 4, and 5-star reviews who rave about all those items I just mentioned. We have been lucky to have people who want to venture outside their circle to see what our Victorian-style mansion has to offer. I'm sorry we didn't meet your standards
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."
Had a great stay. The exterior of the house could use some TLC but the apartment was nicely furnished and comfortable. Loved the diamond door stop. Check in and out were easy.

Overall, the photos and prior reviews described this place pretty accurately. The living room, dining room, and bedroom were all large and well-appointed. The bathroom was tiny and cramped in comparison to the rest of the property. However, the space suited our needs for a short stay. Our host was attentive on the front end of our trip, but not responsive to later communication which was mildly frustrating. We liked the historic touches throughout the property. I would certainly stay again if in the area.
