The house needs a lot of upgrades. There is no wi fi, there is no network coverage. We were driving 15 min to make a call. No light in the queen bathroom. Entrance in the house made me feel uncomfortable as you are walking in into garage which is a bit messy.
Master bedroom bad was uncomfortable.
A lot of dust everywhere.
Porch doesn’t feel stable.
This house doesn’t worth money we spent on it.
Nice idea but needs a lot of work and upgrades.
We would or recommend nether go there again.

Hi Tatjana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, and after discussing your concerns with the homeowner, they’d like to provide some additional context:
- The home is advertised as having no WiFi, and guests relying on WiFi calling may experience service issues depending on their cell provider. We recommend that future guests review this detail to ensure the property meets their connectivity needs.
- The entrance through the basement garage is intentional to provide guests direct access to the beautiful views from the home’s main living space, which features a wall of windows.
- We will be transitioning to a new cleaning team to address any concerns with dust or cleanliness moving forward.
- Regarding the master bedroom, the mattress is a personal preference, but your feedback has been noted for future upgrades.
- The deck was inspected last year and deemed stable, though we are planning to upgrade it to meet modern codes in the near future.
Thanks again for your review. We’re always working to improve, and we hope that future guests will have an excellent experience at this property!
First off, whomever owns this property has been blessed with the perfect place.. it's far enough from town where it's nice and peaceful but close enough where you can drive ten minutes and get what you need.. the driveway is a bit steep and would be careful if you're planning on bringing a trailer.
You should plan on bringing your own towels and wash cloths but that's minor compared to the quiet time you'll get from visiting this place..
Being pet friendly is always a great thing but you'll still want to keep an eye on your pets if they're big enough to jump a fence because the fenced in area is kinda short, but it was sufficient for our pets..
The beds are a bit soft for our liking, but that doesn't mean they're not going to work for someone else, I guess it's all about personal preference but to me it's worth it to be able to experience a place like this..
Thers no wifi but if you're on the Verizon network you can achieve some connectivity especially on the front porch, which I might add was excellent for cooking out and hanging out with my family on..
Expect to have a bit of a cleanup before leaving especially when you have pets as they'll drag pine needles and grass clippings into the house.. speaking of grass clippings, the lawn care professionals apparently arrive on Fridays to mow and trim, but are only there for about 20 minutes and then gone, so no big deal..
Overall it was a great time and I personally am considering going back next year if it's still available..

Located conveniently close to Rogers Rock State Park with boat inspection station and launch. This is a no-frills property which was quiet and clean, providing a pleasant stay.
The driveway is steep and somewhat tight, but I was able to park a Ram pickup with 8ft bed and boat trailer without much trouble. I enjoyed the lack of cell service and WiFi - it was GREAT.
It did smell somewhat like pets upon first entering, as it was a very humid day. we moved the dog bed downstairs and aired the place out, and never noticed it again. The window AC units were effective during the day and were not needed at night.
The satellite tv signal was disrupted a couple times by passing storms but reconnected easily once they passed.
The queen bed and one pillow had a slight smell to them, could have been detergent or not. It was humid weather throughout the stay which brings those things out. It did not at all stop me from sleeping very well on them. The king bed was actually two twin beds pushed together - not an issue, but that's what it is.
Overall, a nicely maintained, basic property that sheltered us well through some heavy thunderstorms and provided us with quiet sleep after long days traveling and on the lake. We would definitely stay here again.

Was comfortable for my puppy and my adult kids. Jo internet and sketchy cell service makes it challenging. Minimal towel supplies had to go out and purchase from Walmart.

Hi Christine, we appreciate you sharing your experience with us and are glad to hear that the property was comfortable for your family. After sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- The driveway is indeed steep but manageable. We've not had any access issues related to the driveway.
- The house is listed as having no internet, Cell service can be inconsistent. We provide notes in the listing about the best places to get a signal.
- We apologize for the minimal towel supply. The housekeeper distributes supplies based on the number of guests and typical usage. We will ensure future guests have adequate towels.
Thank you for your insight, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!
We enjoyed our stay. The home was cozy and it basically had everything we needed. It sits on a steep mountain and the driveway is a bit of a challenge. We loved that it was dog friendly and our dogs loved exploring around the property. Our one critique would be that we had no idea we would have zero cell phone coverage anywhere near the place. I understood that we didn't have Wi-Fi but without cell phone coverage it made our stay just a little bit difficult. Overall, we enjoyed it. It was very peaceful. Sitting on the deck and listening to the river rush by just across the street was very relaxing. We would go back.
