• A huge disappointment

  I specifically was looking for cute places tucked into the woods with a fireplace to ring in the cooler weather. I contacted the property several days in advance and asked if I needed to bring my own firewood and the property management company promptly replied that I did.

  When I get there, there is a large sign on the fireplace saying that the fireplace is not in service. What a huge disappointment. I could have stayed somewhere much cheaper without a fireplace that would have been cosmetically just as appealing.

  The upper deck had a wasp infestation and so we were unable to eat out there.

  The kitchen is adequate, but the knives are unusable. Black plastic handled serrated made in china...they wouldn't even saw through a Brussel sprout. I recommend that these be upgraded

  The house is otherwise quiet, clean and had lots of storage if you were traveling with a group and needed to dry out ski gear in the basement or something.

  There was a bag of fresh ice waiting for us in the freezer and a bowl of fresh apples on the table.

  But mostly I am so disappointed and feel somewhat hoodwinked. If a huge appealing feature of the property is unavailable, I would have appreciated advance notice.

  - The indoor fireplace developed a blockage shortly before your arrival, which unfortunately meant it wasn’t safe to use during your stay. We arranged for repairs as quickly as possible, and we’re happy to report that it’s now back in working order.
  - The property does have a new outdoor fire pit as an alternative option, and we provide enough firewood to start a fire. We're sorry this wasn’t communicated, and we understand how this could have affected your plans. We truly thought the outside fire pit would have been a suitable alternative to the indoor one while we waited for its repair.
  - We will address the wasp issue on the upper deck to ensure the outdoor areas are more comfortable for future guests.
  - We appreciate your suggestion about the kitchen knives, and we will investigate your concerns further.
  Thank you for highlighting both the positives and areas for improvement—we genuinely value your insight. We hope you’ll consider giving us another chance to provide a 5-star stay!

  We had a fantastic stay. The home was neat and clean and nicer than advertised and communicating with host was super easy. Location was great and the view was so beautiful. we also enjoyed the BBQ on the deck along with the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. We would definitely go back. It was 100% positive!

• Good option for family vacation around the lakes

  Nice property. Everything as described. Check in was smooth. Cabin was clean, comfortable. Dishwasher didn't work. Called number provided, no answer so left a VM, never heard back. Family enjoyed mostly but complained they dad to clean dishes in the sink.

• Wonderful stay!

  Our family had one of our best years at Loon Lake and it’s mainly due to our stay here and the wonderful accommodations of this beautiful cabin! It was truly a “home away from home” and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We have family on Marina road and it was a convenient location to their camp, too. We truly just loved hanging at the cabin…that side porch was one of our favorites! We can’t wait to come back!
