If you like getting away from it all then you might like staying here. My husband and I both grew up on a farm/ranch and love the outdoors. Being in cities, hotels, traffic and noise is not our style. If you are looking for manicured lawns, beautiful edifices with all the trappings, this would not be for you. This is a working horse property and pecan farm. Located close to a lot of hiking and exploring. Just a few minutes from the little town of Mesilla. A must-see attraction. Also a few minutes to freeway access. The studio apartment is very well appointed and very clean. New furnishings and appliances...even a wine cooler. Everything you would need. Very limited counter space if part of your trip includes a lot of cooking. Something we don't do on a vacation. We would stay here again. Drew, one of the hosts was most helpful and directed us to some of the best places and showed us how pecans are harvested on their place. Got up every morning and talked to the horses and enjoyed the quiet. My only suggestion is "wear boots" as this is a farm with no cement paths, just the way it should be!
