Our stay wasn’t what we expected!! We got there and immediately was disappointed. The landscape was over grown and weeds where in the flagstone as well as a horrible fire ant bed in the back sitting area that my little one fell in. The downstairs shower had no water pressure and just barely any water came out. The upstairs bathroom is extremely small and very closed in and uncomfortable. Unfortunately the cleaning was not well! There was a dog that stayed prior that had hiked leg to pee on the edge off the couch. The fireplace was dirty on the glass and leftover wood and ashes were left behind. The kitchen was very cluttered on the counters! There was several things in fridge that were expired and old! There was no fresh flowers or a stocked fridge or alocohol left like described in other reviews. There is also a septic smell that you smell while trying to relax on the front or back patio. The trash can container that you put your trash bags in was full of old trash and smelt horrible! The place really needs to be sprayed for bugs!! We killed 11 daddy long leg spiders and several other bugs inside! We get that its in the mountains and we have stayed at several places on Vrbo or air bnb with the same atmosphere and never had a bug issue at all. This place needs extreme help and needs to be better especially at the price! Very disappointed and i hope the owners really try to make changes I hope the best for them in the future! Unfortunately it seems that people have left several false 5 star reviews which unfortunately will come back to bite you in the future! I have pictures of everything!

The house and setting are fabulous..Seeing Amtrak train go by in the distance was a highlight each afternoon. We really enjoyed sitting out on one of the porches and enjoying a morning coffee or evening drink. It was a great change from Santa Fe and the Pecos mountain biking and fly fishing at our back door was fantastic.
This place is amazing. The view of the cliffs at the back of the property where the big wall of windows is facing is just gorgeous. I sat on the couch watching the sun make its way up the cliff during sunset and it was transfixing. The casita is very comfortable, well stocked, and has plenty of great books to peruse. The owners were kind and available as needed. Very peaceful and wonderful stay. I did not want to go home!
This property is very beautiful. Wish I would have brought hiking shoes. Unfortunately our stay was for business, but we still enjoyed sitting outside. For those who travel in and rent a car a truck is a must. Also might want to get your shopping done before dark. The sky is amazing! Thank you for the tequila! Really needed it after a long day working. Thank you so much!
