  • Enjoyable stay in a charming cottage

    5/5

We had a nice relaxing time in this tucked away, private cabin. The place is charming and well stocked (kitchen, etc.) and we were very comfortable. The second bedroom (kids' loft beds) is on a smallish side (as is the bathroom), but our son was comfortable and slept well in the 2nd bedroom. The driveway does need an AWD vehicle, which was not a problem for us with our station wagon. :)We enjoyed the views all around, the backyard w/firepit, the living room and fireplace, cooking meals in the kitchen that had all that we needed, and exploring Maggie Valley and all it had to offer - winter activities, hiking, mountain- and wildlife (elk!)-watching. Very enjoyable and relaxing stay that let us spend a wonderful time as a family. Please note that this is not "Four Seasons" / five star luxury accommodations, but it's well-priced, fully stocked, comfortable and in a great location. It's also very close to the ski slopes if you are lucky to visit in winter months.Communications with the property manager were fantastic, very responsive and good instructions.

  • Mountain Hideaway

    5/5

Our visit was short, but to say this was just a nice cabin would be an understatement. The cabin itself was so thoughtfully decorated and had every amenity and luxury that you don’t normally expect for a weekend rental. All we had to bring was food and ourselves. We felt at home immediately, the decor, the quality bedding and plush furniture was wonderful. The hosts were extremely responsive and beyond helpful with the many unexpected changes we had to make. We appreciated that anytime we had a question we felt confident that we could ask-even the day of our trip-and get an answer right away. For me, the thoughtfulness in providing a list/links to get to know the surrounding area and places to eat/see was easier than trying to figure it out on our own. I would recommend anyone stay in this little blue cabin. It is located in its own little hideaway-away from the neighboring homes. For me, seeing the sunrise/sunset atop the mountain across from the large pane kitchen windows was…magical. We weren’t able to spend much time outside due to the rain, except for a few cups of coffee on the deck-but I can see enjoying the fire pit-that is so nicely set up outside- on a cool evening. The host thought of everything and we are so appreciative to have chosen such a wonderful place to stay! Highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again anytime!
