  • Property Manager was MIA

    The house itself was nice. However, there were outrageous additional fees that included a cleaning fee. We were also expected to leave the house as we found it. We had to take the garbage to an outside container that was not on the immediate property. We had to put the towels in the basement washing machine. Why am I paying the equivalent of a night's stay for a cleaning fee when I have to do the cleaning? We stayed for only 2 nights and didn't have a mess. They say to leave the beds made that were not slept in. This makes me wonder about when some of the bedding was last washed... and what if someone does make the bed after they slept in it. Does that mean that they leave it and the bedding is not cleaned. One would think with the large cleaning fee, someone would be able to wash all the bed linens for the next guests. There was also a problem with bugs. There were lady bugs and stink bugs in the house. The property manager NEVER called me even after I left multiple messages. I had to call the rental company that was not on site multiple times to get the code/information just to get into the property. This added to the stress of wondering if I was even going to have a property to stay in when I got there. Currently this house is for sale. I'm thinking this is the reason for the additional issues.

    We are glad you chose the home and we are sorry your stay was not what you expected. All taxes and fees are clearly outlined by Vrbo at check-out before guests need to confirm payment. As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout. The cleaning fee goes to a professional service that sanitizes and prepares the home for each new guest. We have ongoing pest control that manages and protects the home from any issues and have never experienced this before. We also provide a welcome app 10 days before check-in that contains all the instructions for check-in as well as additional information. We did not receive any communication from you and are always available via call or text. Guests can also reach out to Evolve 24/7 for additional support.
    We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback.

  • High added fees and phone calls not answered

    Started off with not receiving the required information to get into house. Had to track down that information on the way to the property. Richard, the contact never returned my calls. Had to talk to evolve reps on toll free number. Was told they would contact me back… 6 hours later I had to call them back for the information.

    The house is nice. However, the added cleaning fees of almost $300 and then requiring me to do all the cleaning and leaving the house as I found it, is ridiculous. Either I’m cleaning it or you are. Why am I paying you for me to clean it? Why am I paying for service that doesn’t exist? The nightly rate is basically doubled with the fees. There are light bulbs out in the bedrooms. There was a rug dumped on the basement patio that was in the way. There was a remote missing for the TV upstairs.

    The house is for sale and it’s obviously not being cared for the same. I recommend you refund the cleaning fee after the guests leave the house as they found it. This was not worth the money. It would have been a better value to get hotel rooms. The customer service and response would have been at least better. Still haven’t heard from Richard and I checked out yesterday.

    Lovely location and great fall leaf views everywhere! Cabin is spacious and inviting with lots of sleeping options. Kitchen fully equipped. Nice hiking trails and scenic walks within 15 minutes of location.

    Beautiful home and comfortable. Multiple levels within home with outer decks on two floors. Fully stocked with all essentials (tools and linens) for cooking. Hot tub, kitchen, den, half bath, and main bedroom with bathroom main floor Sitting room, two bedrooms and bath on upper level. Lower level, has full bath and full size bunk beds with multiple sitting areas, pool table, and large laundry room. Large wrap around deck on main floor and small deck on lower level. Parking for multiple cars, but if more than three, it is a tight turn around. Walking trails literally up the hill in front of cabin. And Trash dump just up the hill for convenience. Close to store for buying groceries, shopping, or restaurants. Cafe Rel is highly recommended. Gated and safe. Gorgeous views coming, going, and on trails. We saw wild life on trips in and out. Will highly recommend. And would stay again if in area.
