• Possibly the worst stay at a VRBO ever.

  From walking in to leaving, total disaster. Prior people using this location supposedly had stayed 25 days! Left trash bags outside that some how had maggots on them, left wigs in between bed and wall, womens underwear in between wall and bed as well in another room. One bed fell while my daughter was sleeping on one side and the best her…son in law walking back in to the bedroom and one of the ceiling fan blades flew off and almost hit him in the head. Let’s continue, prior people broke the washer and dryer and left items in them to where I had to go buy linings and towels for my family to use…bathrooms were not cleaned and had mold in the shower and the coffee pot had mold in the actual filter part also. I can go on and on with the issues we had. And the only thing the managing person said the owners and they could do was “give” us a free cleaning!?!?! No other type of compensation would be considered or offered. Sad part is I have pictures to document everything expressed in this statement. Never will we stay at this location again.

  I’ve stayed at numerous Airbnb’s with mostly great experiences, but my stay at the Cary home on 9/16-9/18 changed that. The home is nice and spacious but is lacking in the area of cleanliness. The keyless entry is not “keyless”…the physical keys are in a lockbox. Upon entering the home we noticed a small bag of trash sitting on the table in the foyer; there was wet laundry in the washer and dryer…The dishes in the cabinet had condensation and food particles on them (looks like they were rinsed off and placed in the cabinets without drying them first). The toilet seat was completely broken in the downstairs hall bathroom. Inside the refrigerator there was a large dark stain that appeared to be dried blood possibly from a package of meat. My friends and I cleaned the area and decided to notify the property manager the following morning since it was late. The following morning before calling the property manager I found several soiled items, dried food and stains in the space between the headboard and mattress; the items were visible when making up the bed which is why I can’t understand how the cleaning person missed it! I removed the sheets from the bed only to find more stains and blood spots on the mattress pad. I contacted the property manager who was pleasant and apologetic regarding the home’s condition; she informed me that she would not be able to make it out that day but would be by on Sunday after checkout. I sent photos of my findings to the property manager via text. I also sent her a text informing her of the time of my departure and that a massive size roach was noticed in the kitchen while we were packing our items to leave. The home could easily be a 5 star if it was cleaned appropriately. The owner could also provide extra toilet paper besides what’s on the roll along. Bring your own towels and washcloths as there were maybe 5 towels and 2 wash cloths we pulled out of the washer when we first arrived and none in the linen closet.
