  This was our second time staying here. We loved the location and our stay last year so much that we booked it again. What a disappointment.

  The unit is not being maintained well. Elevator wasn’t working. The entryway from outside to the stairway was flooded and obviously this has been an ongoing issue as there was lots of rust from prior issues. Doors in the living room to the balcony didn’t work. When stripping the sheets off one of the beds, we found someone’s dirty socks!!! So we obviously had been sleeping in a dirty bed. There is construction right across the street which was annoyingly loud all day.

  For the amount of money we paid, to have a full list of chores to do before leaving, including washing our towels and taking out the trash, was just adding insult to injury.

  I don’t know how this unit deteriorated so much in just one year, but we certainly will not stay here again.

  -We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your first experience and sincerely apologize that your second stay did not meet your expectations.
  -We strive to maintain this property at the highest level. The elevator is currently out of service to ensure safety and proper maintenance. We removed any reference to the elevator from the listing to avoid disappointment. Once the necessary maintenance and inspections are completed, the elevator will be returned to service.
  -We are aware of the water issue in the stairwell. Finding the source of the leak has been challenging, but it is an ongoing project for us. Our guest contact was informed of the water. She offered to clean up the water, but the offer was declined.
  -There are several doors from the living room to the balcony. We were unaware of the difficulty of operating these doors. We are having new, easier-to-operate latches installed immediately. If an operational issue like this one is encountered, we encourage all of our guests to call the guest contact. She will do everything in our collective power to resolve the issue promptly. Our goal is to respond to our guests' needs as quickly as possible.
  -The presence of socks in the bed is a mystery to us. I have confirmed with our cleaning service that the bed was changed between bookings. Even if beds are not used during the prior rental, our policy is that our cleaning staff changes the linens for every turnover. The sock issue is highly unusual since all beds are always remade. A quick call to our guest contact would have ensured the bed was promptly remade.
  -The house rules have not changed since your last stay. As is standard for vacation rentals, we ask guests to complete a few small tasks at checkout, such as removing their trash and starting a load of towels in the washing machine. This helps our professional cleaners efficiently sanitize and prepare the house for the next guest.
  We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.
