• Great place for National Park Visiting

  My daughter and her family….an 8 year old and a 4 year old stayed here to enjoy a 5 days of traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway and hike through some beautiful areas. We visited 4 national parks and a couple of state parks! This was centrally located for our travels and SO VERY accommodating for all of our travel needs! The kids LOVED the game room and we loved having plenty of space to spread out in each night! If we ever come through Black Mountain/Asheville, we will book this place again!

• Overall nice stay

  We enjoyed our stay in Black Mountain. It is a drive to town, so know that when booking. We spent the majority of the time in the game room. Hopefully the air hockey table is fixed for future guests! The outdoor fire pit was pleasant and a nice setting. The house smelled a little musty, but much improved once doors and windows were opened. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. The neighbors have installed some weird outdoor buzzer. It wasn't a complete deterrent but definitely noticeable!

• Quaint home away from home

  Roomy, well appointed. refurbished woodframe home. Although there were only 3 in our party, there is plenty of room for a family of 6 or 8 to spread out. Carpet in the 2 smaller bedrooms could use replacement or cleaning. Ceiling fans, a/c filter vent, exhaust fan in hall bathroom, window sills, baseboards and bedroom doors along with outdoor seating do need a good spring cleaning. "Bicycle room" had the firmest mattress, "sunflower room" mattress was a bit softer and the master bedroom had most comfortable mattress, at least in our opinion. We enjoyed the board games and the ping pong table. Q

  Located in a quiet neighborhood with minimal traffic. May sound odd, but we enjoyed the creaky wood floors as it reminded us of our late grandmother's old mountain home. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants to get away to the mountains but not be too far from a bigger city like Asheville. Black Mountain downtain shopping area was wonderful & is only a short drive away!

• Terra Nova Tap Room Visit

  Perfect location to the newly opened Terra Nova Tap Room to taste our son's beer.

  The home offered us everything our family needed for our weekend stay. Furniture and beds were comfortable. We didn't have enough time to enjoy all the fun amenities.

  Enjoyed a couple of wonderful meals in Black Mountain as well as at the Tap Room in Swannanoa.
