We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, peaceful, beautiful location. While Aurora is not a huge town, it offers enough to enjoy the home that is nestled in a spot for a calming rest away from the business of life. It sits in a spot where you can drive and take in many other activities such as the beaches to the south and north. Restaurants throughout the area, mostly in Washington, NC. We enjoy the option in routes to travel by ferry. You can take in many national parks, trails and wildlife refugees. If you're into fishing, there are many options to charter a tour and cast your line. The house was perfect for the four of us. Waking up every day to the view was blissful and brought serenity to the business of our daily lives. It is a place we would gladly rent again!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for your thoughtful review of Trader John’s. We would love to host your family again in the future. Aurora and the surrounding areas are hidden gems, and we are happy to offer visitors a peaceful stay. The view is amazing, and we are glad you enjoyed everything."
My family and I had a wonderful trip and rented this location to attend a family reunion near by. The house has amazing views and very quiet. Sunsets were spectacular. Pick up groceries on your way since the closest location is a Dollar General about 10 minutes away. Layout worked well for our family. The loft was very nice and we appreciated the non-slip grips on wooden stairs; although, loft ceiling is very low near top of stairs and I (5’11”) hit my head every single time (but that’s partly on me for not learning). The storm doors are incredibly out of square, with visible gaps that apparently let in insects . There were quite a few insects / cobwebs in the loft area ceiling due to the gaps, and our daughter didn’t want to sleep up there, but there was room in the bunk room. If you bring a dog, just be aware that neighbor dogs are off leash and like to visit, but everyone was very friendly. Overall, amazing location and exactly what we expected for a coastal home. Thanks!
