  Our experience was different than all of the other reviewers. Upon checking in, I immediately noticed that the view in the backyard looks dramatically different than the pictures. All of the trees and brush along the fence were gone and you could clearly see the highway down below and hear cars speeding by. Not a very private yard to enjoy.

  The other problem was cleanliness issues. The outside charcoal grill was disgusting and looked like it hasn't been cleaned in months. We brought burgers to cook, but I wasn't going to put them on that grill. I immediately contacted Dan about this and asked if there was a grill brush available so I could clean it. His response was "I don't think we have one". The kitchen was the other big problem - all of the dishes and glasses looked dirty and stained. The bottom drawer of the freezer was covered in food crumbs and even a couple of hairs. Below the oven, the cabinet had charred food and cookie sheets that were greasy and dirty. The stove top had fingerprints all over the place and obviously wasn't cleaned before we got there. I brought these concerns to Evolve who had Dan contact me. While he did offer to send the cleaner back out the following day, there were no apologies. We declined since we had already unpacked and weren't comfortable having someone in the house while we were gone. We rent alot of vacation houses and have never seen a kitchen this dirty.

  Besides these issues, the house was in a decent location and close to Asheville and the pictures represent the inside of the house, but we wouldn't stay here again.

• Cozy Stay in Asheville

  We had a wonderful time at Crestview Cottage. The house is immaculate and full of anything we could have needed. The owner was wonderful about answering questions and helpful suggestions. It felt like we were very remote but we were actually very close to Asheville. The best of both worlds!

• Spacious cottage in great location with private backyard!

  We had a great time at Crestview Cabin! Plenty of room, nice finishes, great location (both in terms of neighborhood and location to Asheville), private back yard! We stayed with our two dogs and really enjoyed the fenced in backyard that was secluded and quiet as one of our dogs can be nervous around new people. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!

• Relaxing getaway

  We had a fantastic ladies getaway at this conveniently located and private cottage. We really enjoyed all the amenities like the hot tub and fire pit. It was a nice surprise to have smart speakers in every room (even the bathrooms) and lots of high end finishes in the kitchen and bedrooms. My only complaint is the backyard table and chairs could use a good cleaning. The gift basket with treats was also a nice touch The host was very responsive to our needs. Would definitely stay again.
