Location was nice but the neighbors ruined it!
2/5 First Off, I understand that VRBO is not the property owner but there is no quality control within this system. We are renting a property is Lake of the Ozarks MO. The home we rented for a weekend is WILDLY incorrect from the listing. Although the house is nice, we were lead to believe there is Great Lake access with a boat dock and swimming dock. There is no swimmable water due to debris which is understandable but the locals have said that it’s been there for months which was not included ANYWHERE in the listing. This type of info is needed when renting a lake house with lake access. The boat dock they spoke of is a community dock owned by the neighborhood. These neighbors have threatened to call the police while my family and friends (4 adults + 6 children) have been here within a day without wild parties or excessive noise. The “2 parking spots” are the size of smart cars and not adequately marked causing an issue with the neighbor resulting in minor arguments. The boat dock they spoke of in the rental description and agreement said nothing about lack of access being granted. Simply states that the “fishing house” is off limits. Leaving everyone to assume the other 90% of the dock area is free access (which it is not. At least according to 2 neighbors). The house is great. The neighborhood and residents are absolutely intolerable. DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY!!
