The house's location was very convenient for us as we were visiting family in St. Paul. It's also convenient for getting to Como Park (which is less than a mile away, not 2 miles as the listing states) and for exploring the St. Paul network of bike trails.
When we made the booking, our plan was to share the house with another couple. Unfortunately, the other couple had to cancel their trip due to an accident, so we ended up having the house to ourselves. There are 2 bedrooms, one of which has a roll-out "trundle bed," so technically there is "sleeping room" for 5 people. However, other than for sleeping, the house would have felt quite crowded with even 4 adults, with barely adequate seating for 4 people in the kitchen and living room.
The kitchen is mostly well equipped, although there were some bizarre omissions - e.g., there was a coffee maker and supplies for making coffee, but no coffee mugs; also, no dish towels. (I communicated with the property owner about these deficiencies, and hopefully they'll be fixed.) The kitchen lacks a dishwasher, and the house does not have a washer and dryer.
Other issues to note: The owner and her family live in a separate unit in the basement of the house. Although there is a garage on the property, guests staying in the house do not have access to it. Although the property has a long driveway, there is only one parking space for guest vehicles, which would have been problematic for our original party of 4, since we would have had 2 cars.
