SO disappointing. Dirty and poorly managed

We were looking forward to staying at this house for the weekend while we were attending a memorial for a family member. Our kids were looking forward to the advertised pool, and the adults were hoping for some stress free accommodations.

There is no pool. It's in a heap in the garage.. which was also supposed to be available for our use. There isn't much right with the property or Evolve at all.

Dirty utensils, garbage under sinks, including used toilet paper... stained pillows, sheets and towels, hvac system non-functional, used mousetraps in a kitchen cupboard, bedsheets hanging from multiple doors when we arrived, no toilet paper. and the list goes on... I have photos of all of this, but they cannot be posted here. ??

Evolve has the incorrect contact information on the check in sheet, and we were stuck with all of these issues for 3 days. We emailed Evolve in hopes of a response, but they did not answer. All of this happened while we were mourning the death of a family member... so we spent a good deal of time stressing about all of this. We asked for a sizable refund. They could only be bothered to offer about 1/2 of one night's stay.

Rent this place at your own risk.. it is terribly run, and not well appointed for the guests it says it can accommodate... not to mention, in the age of COVID.. I have real concerns as to it's true cleanliness.

Hi Annie, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- The pool was drying out in the garage and was stored for the season after your stay. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- There was no garbage under the sinks, but you likely found some boxes with supplies that were stored inside a cabinet.
- Our cleaner ensured that the dishwasher was running before your stay, and there was no used toilet paper. We do have mousetraps in an unused cabinet, but there were no mice in them at the time of your stay. We assure you the house was clean before you arrived.
- There was a single bedsheet hanging on the inside door of the laundry room to dry.
- We called and left a voicemail offering to get more toilet paper and groceries sent during your stay, but these offers went unacknowledged.
- Our guest contact information was incorrect, but that will be updated.
