The grandkids were so excited when they realized that we were going to stay at this house again. It took them about a nanosecond to get into the pool. The house is just a short walk from the beach (lake levels vary — this year the beach was perfect!), an easy morning walk to a terrific bakery/coffee shop, and even a pleasant walk to a farmers market/artist/craft fair. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room. The screened porch is a delight; we ended every night with board games. The grill is big enough to cook for a crowd. The fire pit is surrounded by plenty of space. Great experience!

Had a great week but, the previous reviews are correct. The pool is not 84 degrees. The pool room may be 84 degrees, but water temperature is not. Therefore we only used the pool once. Which is unfortunate because that was the main reason to rent this property. The upstairs tv continually froze, which made it hard and frustrating to watch. The tennis court is a nice feature as is the fire pit and three season room. Would be nice if the outside hose was working to help put out the embers in the fire pit.The owner was very helpful when it came to getting the flag for the beach. After staying there I just don't believe it's worth the price being charged.

  • Cold pool with drug pipes

We were super excited to have a weekend getaway with our 16 month old toddler and another couple. I will say the check in process was easy, but there were issues with the house that made the weekend not as fun as it could of been. First off, the house has mold or water in random spots and very visible in the main family room and kitchen. We got the house because we wanted to use the indoor pool. It was so cold when we tried to put my toddler in, his teeth would chatter. I messaged the owner who said to use the sauna to heat up then go in the pool. Which we couldnt do with the toddler, and honestly didnt help that much. So the pool was basically unusable and there was also liquids dripping from the ceiling. The next day we went into the screened in porch and my son picked up drug paraphernalia! Overall there were many fixtures in the bathrooms broken, and it just seemed like it was not worth the price we paid. Unless they heat the pool and clean in up, I would not recommend anyone to stay here!

    Manager's Response:

Hi Amanda, we followed up with the homeowners, who were disappointed by your feedback, as they try to provide all guests with the best experience possible. They would like to share the following:
    - We apologize if the pool was too cold for your son to enjoy. The pool temperature is set to 84 degrees, and there is no way for us to raise it, but we can clarify this in the listing.
    - Our housekeeping team always does a thorough job of cleaning inside the home, as well as the porch, garage, and outdoors, but we are very sorry if anything was missed.
    - We have shared your feedback with them to ensure that future guests do not have a similar experience.
    - Our cleaning team also let us there that the previous guests broke a towel rack and toilet paper holder. I am sorry that those were not repaired before your stay, but we will take care of that right away.
We appreciate your helpful feedback, and we will continue to work hard to provide a five-star experience for all future guests.

This house was terrific. The indoor pool was a huge hit with the grandkids (8, 5 & 5) who spent hours in it. It was big enough for the adults as well -- we all enjoyed it. The tennis court got a workout. The grill was super and easy to clean. Nice fire pit with seating as well. Loved the screen in back porch -- we played games out there a lot -- plus two of our group used it as their office during the day when they had to work. The bedrooms are spacious. The house is so big that we barely even used the basement. Kitchen/dining/family room was also a very good size. We never felt crowded. The beach is a short walk and it is A+. Be prepared for some stairs to reach the beach -- but that is common in the area. The house is in a woodsy, sandy area, so you may spot some ants. We never put off cleaning up after meals and didn't leave open or loose containers around and didn't really have a problem. Overall, everyone in our family (6 adults, 3 children) was delighted. We enjoyed a great week. Thanks!

  • Love our stay

We had a family gathering for my 84 year old Mom. The whole family enjoyed the stay; the place was cleaned and orderly. Rasa was very prompt on answering my emails and texts. Thanks Rasa for making this trip a very pleasant time!
