  The post is a little deceiving sense. The short walk to the beach is crossed M 66 a very busy loud highway. If you’re a light sleeper you will be woke by the street noise. Unfortunately, the lake has swimmers itch and it is well posted to beware. I’m certain the owners are aware of this and choose not to share. So we did not take the risk. We decided to drive to Cadillac, which was approximately 20 minutes away. No fire pit. My biggest concern was the safety hazard, which was stated not to be a hazard b/c the outlet was kinda covered by a headboard that was fixed to the wall. I could have easily put my finger in the socket. Also, multiple extension cords, running extension cords is a fired hazard in my opinion. If you arrive to the house even 10 or 15 minutes early, you’re not allowed to get in till the time of check in. But I was granted a late check out at 11 as long as I could start the towel's.

We're sorry the experience didn't meet your expectations. Our ultimate goal is to provide our guests with accommodations that exceed your satisfaction.
  - We aim for transparency and our listing and photos are accurately advertised. As we describe in the listing, the walk to the beach is under a minute. While our listing is easily locatable on a map, guests can rest assured that the house is situated on M66. In addition, we do not advertise in our amenities that we provide a fire pit for guest use.
  - Regarding Swimmers Itch, unfortunately, we were not aware of any issues related to it at Lake Missaukee.
  - We take safety seriously and although it's very difficult for guests to get their fingers through the headboard and in the socket, we will look into addressing this concern.
  - We've currently got extension cords running from the outlet to the air conditioners. To ensure efficiency and confirm that this is not a hazardous concern, we'll make sure to fasten them securely to the wall in the future.
  - When it comes to arrival and departure times, our locks are set on timers for arrivals. If guests wish to arrive earlier, they just need to give us a heads-up. When we received your request for an early check-in, we happily accommodated you without any hesitation. You also asked for a late check-out, which we were more than happy to grant. In return, we kindly requested that she start a load of laundry to assist our hardworking cleaning crew, who were scheduled to come in later that day to prepare for the next set of guests. This is a common standard in vacation rentals for a quicker turnaround time.
  We do all we can to make our home the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

• Chic interior and budget friendly price

  The owners have put so much care into renovating this house. The interior genuinely looks as nice as in the pictures and we liked using the outside gas grill and convenient picnic table. We stayed for several days before the lake had really warmed up enough to enjoy it, so we didn't spend much time there. The house is on a very major road, so use your judgement as to whether your ducklings can stick together enough to get across safely to the lake. Worst case you can just drive up the street to the larger beach with parking. As light sleepers the road presented problems for us, but of course not everyone would be bothered. Luckily all the nearby businesses were fairly quiet and seemed to be closed on the weekend.
