Great place to stay
5/5 The cottage and detached room is very nice and homey, we were very comfortable in the home. It provided everything we needed for our stay. It's a quaint place, a little old cottage feel and new. They had a fire pit we used and lots of games to play in our downtime.
The cottage is very close to many things, we were a 1/2 block away from a little park on the river. We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping and ice cream shops.
We also golfed and rented a pontoon boat to spend a day on the lakes and river, both of these places were close to the cottage.
We spent an afternoon on DeVoe beach which is very nice, the water was clear and calm. Great for little kids to swim in.
We also went to Cheboygan, Ocqueoc falls and Mackinaw Island which were within 30 minutes from the cottage.
I would stay here again and recommend it for a nice place to stay.
Perfect location
5/5 We came for the boat races and this house was just perfect! The house is absolutely adorable and plenty of space so our group was not on top of each other. It was right across the street from a city river access park so whether you're just looking for a quiet morning cup of coffee on the water or the perfect seat for some boat races this house has it all! You can easily walk up town to several bar/restaurants/ice cream shops and it's really not far from anything you need/want. We had a great stay and the hosts were very helpful with any of our questions!

Perfect location

Indian River getaway
5/5 Our stay at Stone's Throw was amazing. The house, and additional cabin, fit our group perfectly. It was in a great location to food and the boat launch. And the "To Do" list was a great touch!!
