Very pleasant home and location, right across from the water. We'd never been to Harsen's Island, so were not quite sure what to expect. It was a novel experience for my family to see the freighters make their way through the channel. We had a perfectly relaxing week and were able to make our way to the surrounding areas for dinners, etc. We'd recommend.

The exterior of the property was completely unmaintained and appeared abandoned. The interior was nice and clean. The MBR spa covered us with a brown slimy film the instant we turned it on. This is an experience we will never erase from our minds ! The kitchen sink had almost zero water pressure, just a slow trickle. The side yard patio had 6 chairs and a table literally rotting in place. We tried to contact the owner Randy several times we were never responded to. We left after the second night of our 4 night reservation. Randy finally texted us and asked us what the issues were. We explained all of the above and his response was shocking. He said none of these issues are valid and that he has signed affidavits to prove that everything on the property is working fine ! We are very reasonable people and we’re stunned by this cold and insensitive treatment after spending 2000.00 for a four night stay.
Beautiful and spacious accommodations. Rental company very helpful.
We expected what was listed but instead we walked up to grounds that hadn’t been landscaped in months, dirt and dust throughout the house, a dirty fridge, and rusted lawn furniture outside with the cushions in a locked shed we didn’t have keys to. We paid too dollar for a 40th anniversary getaway and sadly we did not get what we should have. Disappointing!

Hi Autumn, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following:
We are glad you chose our home and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We are very disheartened and surprised by your review, when we spoke a few times and these concerns were never mentioned. If you had concerns about the cleanliness, bringing it to our attention would have helped resolve the issue. The cushions were in the shed for the season and had not been put out yet. The landscaping is a natural setting. There is no lawn to cut other than at the beach where we planted new sod and mowed for their enjoyment before their stay.
We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback!
Amazing home and amazing location! Awesome remodel of a very unique home. If you appreciate beautiful woodwork and great historic charm you will love it!! Fantastic kitchen and several options for dining; cozy wonderful homey feeling throughout. The sunporch & balcony offered excellent views to watch the freighters. Plus a great little hand carved wetbar on the waterfront! Market within walking distance and the charming schoolhouse restaurant 2 miles away. This is a wonderful getaway even for locals like us looking for a close weekend vacay!
