First off, the cabin is in a very good location that easily connects you to many activities. The kitchen is well equipped and very modern. Makes you fell welcomed. The back family room that leads to the lake is very very cozy.
I give this cabin only three stars because it lacked cleanliness. The floors were not cleaned properly and the rugs all over the house was very dirty. The biggest drawback is the bathroom shower size. Even a petite person will have hard time moving their hands in the shower without banging. If you sleep upstairs, you have to come all the way down every time to use the bathroom. It is not practical to accommodate six people in a one bathroom house. The bedroom that has the two twin beds is very small and hard to not bang your head if you don't watch when you get up.
Also, the exterior need some maintenance so the guests will enjoy outdoors. There are no lights in the backyard by the deck (both decks) and the side yard light doesn't turn on either. You need flash light if you plan stay outside in the dark. Again, there is no awning or any covered porch outside including the deck by the master bedroom. We were stuck inside after a heavy rain until everything dried out again. That's a bummer.
Sorry to say, I will not return to this cabin again. This cabin definitely needs some cleaning and exterior improvements.
This place wasn't right for our family. It has lots of room to hang out and big leather furniture. The lake is really peaceful and we enjoyed eating pizza on the roof deck. However, there were many amenities missing for a family to stay for a week. There was a coffee maker, but only 3 very small coffee mugs. We found a bug in each of three rooms, including the kitchen, so we didn't cook in the kitchen after that. There is AC in just one area, which may be difficult for an entire summer week. The fans were helpful, but dirty. We also found a container of KY jelly underneath the ‘king' bed( just two twin beds next to one another) when we were sweeping to leave…Which leads me to my final suggestion: get a different management company: the yard was not mowed, there was junk in the yard, and the mugs and dishes had to be cleaned in order to be used(film and caked on bits).Nice, shallow lake. Boyne City is terrific and this is very convenient. With better maintenance and a few improvements, this would be worth what we spent to stay there.

Our family of 3 had a great stay.
Pros:
The view - lake view from almost everywhere in the house
The technology setup- 3 TVs, strong WiFi connection, we were able to stream the Olympics on my laptop
Nice shower - good pressure and hot water!
All the essentials
Plenty of space - my extended family was able to stop over for a visit on a rainy day
Cons:
Single bathroom was inconvenient at times
AC - worked okay downstairs, did little for any of the 3 bedrooms
Lighting - overhead light in the main TV room was too bright
Lack of TV channels - very basic Spectrum package - as mentioned we streamed everything off a laptop instead
All in all, the pros greatly outweighed the cons and we really enjoyed it.
