We looked but didnt stay
2/5 We were a group of 6 adults & thought this would be perfect for us while we were in town for a wedding. To start, the neighborhood was old. The neighbors were blaring their music loudly & there's no off street parking. The front steps need work, the front porch was dirty & offputting. The code we were given did not open the door. The host did email us back with new codes quickly. There was a twin & a bath downstairs. 3 other bedrooms & bathroom were upstairs:steep, narrow, very creaky stairs. The kitchen looked newer. But it was just not what we were used to with VRBO or expecting from the pictures & listing.

Clean, Quirky House and Lots of Problems
2/5 It started before we arrived. The key code didn't work. After multiple failed attempts to reach the property contact, we called an Evolve rep who had to reach out to the homeowner. From there, we just had one hiccup after another.
1. The downstairs toilet ran consistently, so there was no water pressure unless you shut the water off to it.
2. The internet didn't work the entire stay, which meant we had no TV either.
3. The garbage disposal didn't work (and leaked) so the left side of the sink couldn't be used (would take forever to drain).
4. There were no pans (only 2 pots) for cooking, and very few kitchen items overall - especially for a home that sleeps 6+ people.
5. There were several lamps that didn't have light bulbs in them, and some that were nowhere near a plug anyways.
6. The yard was already overgrown and the trashcan was full of nasty garbage water.
It was a neat old house, and I loved the character it had. It was also clean. But the pictures definitely make it look better than it is. And the issues we had made it way less convenient than just getting a motel room for the weekend. It probably would have been cheaper and less work on us.
Definitely a 'lipstick on a pig' situation.
