  The rental was very nice and they worked with us when we had to change dates. There was two things we had an issue with. One was the neighborhood.We had people pounding on our door at all hours day or night. And the neighborhood wasn’t great and was not told about the area. Also wasn’t told that there was a door that someone from other side could open the door and come in whenever they liked. We had no lock from our side of the door. So they could come in and not even knock and sometimes we wouldn’t even know they were in our part of the house. There should be a lock on our side as well because it’s not right for someone to just come in. Otherwise nice place

  Hi Laurie, we truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts about your recent stay. Your feedback is essential to us, and we've relayed your comments to the homeowner, who would like to address the following:
  -While we made every effort to accommodate the guest's delayed check-in, we were only informed of their need to check in later than planned after reaching out to them. Despite this, we chose to work with them to ensure they did not forfeit their entire stay. Throughout their stay, the guests did not directly communicate any concerns to our designated contact or the owner, who resides in the additional unit on the property.
  -Our duplex property is located near a hospital, which was convenient for the guest's frequent travels. We do not control the behaviors of other residents in the neighborhood but take pride in maintaining cleanliness and ensuring our guests' safety. -The owner introduced himself to the guests and accessed the unit through the shared door, as the guest had not checked in even after our accommodating gesture. The reported pounding on the door occurred due to the installation of a new storm door in the other unit on the final day of their stay, which was the only time concerns were brought to our attention.
  -To enhance guest safety, we have installed a video doorbell and will replace the connecting door between the units with a "communicating door" for future stays. This upgrade will give guests control over when access can be granted between units.
  -We appreciate your understanding and welcome the opportunity to host you again in the future. Please be assured that we remain responsive to any concerns raised during your stay to ensure a successful experience.
