You may never want to leave the serenity of this private Cape Cod retreat, but you'll have plenty to explore if you do! The Cape Cod National Seashore begins just minutes from the property and features miles of dune beaches, marshes, lighthouses, local wildlife, walking trails, and more. There are also 2 association tennis and pickle ball courts nearby!
Nauset Beach also lies just under 6 miles away and offers a fantastic destination for swimming, fishing, and more. Drive about 1 mile to Boat Meadow and Boat Meadow Landing for more outdoor recreation along Cape Cod Bay.
Head just 3 miles south to treat yourself to a day of dining and shopping in the quaint town of Orleans. You'll find ferry ports leading to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket in Hyannis, about 24 miles away.

Major disappointment
2/5 One of the things that drew us to renting this house was the reviews. Looking back at them now they’re 6-7 years old which we should have paid closer attention to them. The house is tired, old, run-down, and not clean. It was extremely disappointing. Some people may not care and some may find that we’re too picky but I need to share our experience with others that may feel the same as we do. Even though the house was cleaned, the cleaning people were still there at 3:15 when we arrived, it felt like there was a layer of grime everywhere. The kitchen cabinets and drawers inside and out were dirty. We washed everything before we used it. The bathrooms weren’t any different. The tub on the first-floor bathroom didn’t drain, so you showered in 2 feet of water. The upstairs tub had a layer of green all around it most likely from copper piping corrosion. The toilets were not clean either. Extension cords everywhere, in every room with multiple lights plugged in. We saw this as a true safety hazard. The shades on the windows falling apart and rotting. The beds are uncomfortably soft and not comfortable. One of the mattress pad covers was soiled.The outside deck is in need of repair. Although there is abundant furniture most of it is covered with mildew and mold. Certainly, not something we wanted to sit on and eat lunch or dinner. Flower boxes and planters are rotted and falling apart. The yard is a mess with hoses thrown all over the front and back yard.

- We apologize for any cleanliness issues you encountered. We have since hired a new cleaning company with an outstanding five-star rating to ensure our properties are spotless for our guests.
- Regarding the windows, they are made of vinyl and are in good condition. They are not rotting, as mentioned in your review.
- We were surprised to hear about water standing in the tub as we haven't received any comments about this before. Nevertheless, we'll thoroughly check the plumbing to ensure there are no underlying issues.
- The deck has been thoroughly repaired, and we make it a point to stain it every year, maintaining its excellent condition.
- As for the outdoor cushions, they are not mildewed. We did find some sap from the pine trees that surround the deck on one of them.
- The yard is not dirty. It has some pine needles from the trees.
- Our mattresses are all brand new and top-of-the-line, and the mattress pads are also new. We understand that personal preferences vary, and we apologize if they didn't entirely meet your expectations.
- We appreciate you pointing out the broken shades, and we'll go ahead and replace them.

5/5 Excellent and unique property in a great neighborhood. At the hight of the summer season this house feels secluded and private, yet it's close to everything Cape Cod has to offer from the beaches and bike trails to many shopping and dining options in the area. The house is well set up for a family (6 plus one dog in our case) and unique art and furniture add the kind of character that makes you feel like a guest in a family home rather than a cookie cutter rental. Easy check in/check out, responsive owners. Would definitely stay again

Eastham and the National Seashore
5/5 Connie and Mike have a beautiful property and we have stayed numerous times over the years with our family and dogs. The house is always equipped with everything you need to be comfortable. It is located conveniently to everything: Beaches (Coast Guard is our favorite) shopping, theaters and Providence Town. And best of all the bike trail is right behind the house for ride to the beach, Arnold’s Lobster and Clam shack or the Hot Chocolate Sparrow for a frozen hot chocolate!!Cheryl Tim and Family
