We felt very safe, comfortable and pleased with our stay at this location. We met John and enjoyed talking with him several times. He invited us to watch as his vet pregnancy tested the mares and that was very interesting. Our view on the hill was lovely overlooking the pastures as mares and their foals grazed. There was a beautiful sunrise one morning as the fog was low to the ground. Awesome. We were in Lexington to watch our granddaughter ride in her first National Pony Finals at Kentucky Horse Park. Our daughter and family also stayed at another location on the property. It was very convenient to the horse park. If we come to Lexington again we will most definitely stay here again.
We stayed here for a UK college visit for my daughter. We almost booked a hotel or VRBO by the campus. I’m so glad I didn’t scroll passed the picture of the horse. It’s the cutest country cottage! Loved coming home to the quiet cottage after walking around the busy campus all day. There isn’t wifi, but cell phone connection was fine and would have been ok completely disconnected because the farm was just beautiful. There is a grill and picnic table right outside the cottage if you decide to cook. My favorite part of the stay was our interaction with John the owner of the farm. We wished we were there longer to learn more about his farm. He was helpful in recommending good local places to eat. I hope my daughter gets in and chooses UK so we can spend 4 years visiting this cute cottage!
The cottage is an amazing little place to stay while in Lexington. Everything was impeccably clean and the hosts are wonderful! We had planned to have pretty packed days visiting the Kentucky Horse Park, Churchill Downs, and Keeneland, but we could have just spent an entire day at the farm watching the horses. We would love to come and stay here again!
We absolutely loved the cottage and the interaction with the owners. If you do not look into it- you have missed a wonderful opportunity.
We pretty much just slept in the home, but my wife had time to enjoy the horses as well. This is a wonderful location and great place to stay.
