  • Great location ... but

    4/5

Location, location, location. Those are the watchwords in the world of real estate, and they certainly apply to this pricey riverfront rental. The location was supreme and cannot be understated, especially because it put us within walking distance of the Covington and Cincinnati riverfronts, including BB River Cruises, Great American Ballpark, the Underground Railroad Museum, etc. The rental was clean and inviting ... but left a bit to be desired. Often, it's the small things that set a vacation home apart and this rental, in my opinion, overlooked a number of "small things." For example, hooks in the bathroom to hang toiletry bags and towels, a box of tissues in the bathroom, functional kitchen utensils, a full-size coffee maker, etc. Even a few condiments in the fridge would have been nice. There was a Brita-like water container and half a bag of ice. The size of the bathroom would be a problem for larger guests. Sitting on the toilet is a tight squeeze for even an average-sized person. It was impossible to block outside light so if you like to sleep in the dark, you won't be able to do that here. The giant living room window does not have a shade or blinds, which is nice for the water view, but may not afford the privacy some guests prefer. The details provided for accessing the unit were helpful except -- quite obviously -- that the apartment number was missing. We figured out the unit number by process of elimination! Also, the rental information suggested we'd receive two parking passes, but only one was made available. (That was not an issue for us because we had only one vehicle, but that could be a problem for other guests.) The kitchen is very small, and my sense is that the place would be best for guests who plan to eat most of their meals out. If you do plan to use the kitchen, bring your own pans and utensils, as well as storage containers, foil, cling wrap, napkins, etc. All dishes have to be handwashed and there is very little counter space. Also, there is a noticeable gap between the counter and the back wall behind the sink -- so much so that any sprayed water is very likely collecting behind the cabinetry, which may become a mold issue later. The owner did leave a basket of snacks, a couple of packs of tissues and two bottles of water, as well as a binder with some local menus. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, primarily for the location and access to local sites. The bed is comfortable and plenty of towels were provided.

  • Great location and super cute

    5/5

What a cute place with a wonderful location! We really enjoyed our stay. The coach house was clean and well put together. It is right on the river and next to a really nice park. There were a lot of restaurants within walking distance and a walk across the bridge out us right where we needed to be for the ball game. If I need to come back to Cincinnati or Northwest Kentucky I would gladly stay again.

  • Wonderful Stay

    5/5

This place is sooooo NICE!!! First time I've ever rented an apt. on a vacation ,I usually rent a house. This apt. is just enough. Everything was so clean and fresh. The view is SICK. you rt. on the river bank.

Very quiet atmosphere. I slept just as good as if ,I was @home in my own bed. I even spoke with the host a couple of times{ he was absolutely wonderful} I met the guys that

stay in the main house{ HI NICK:):)......

This is officially my home away from home. Whenever I'm in Cincinnati ,this will be my resting place. JUST BEAUTIFUL.
