• Would not stay in this condo again

  The condo was clean ,well stocked and in a good location. We stayed for 2 weeks.

  The negatives:

  1. There were 2 lockboxes and a door bell hanging from the wall. It was difficult at night after a long trip to get in and the entrance hallway was dirty.

  2. The first morning when the utensil drawer was opened ,a flying cockroach greeted us, and was followed later by 2 more in different locations.

  3. The TV was a mess .

  4. Some window screens were not attached.

  5. Appliances were ancient. The stovetop after a week would not turn off and required a property person to come and turn off a breaker. We did not have use of the stove for 1 week.

  6. The second bedroom was 30 ft from the noisy road. The condo is a corner unit on the street.

  7. Both the owner and "property manager" (who hung up on me because I called about the stove at 7PM) were generally unresponsive to our requests for help.

  8. The refrigerator stopped making ice after 9 days.

  9. There was inadequate lighting in the living room to read.

  Hi Dia, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -Regarding the presence of insects, please note that being in a tropical climate, it's inevitable that some may find their way indoors through open sliders or windows.
  -We apologize for any difficulty you experienced with the TV. While detailed instructions are provided in the Welcome Book, we'll consider revising them to ensure ease of use.
  -Rest assured, we meticulously inspected all the windows and found that all screens were securely attached.
  -Upon inspecting the refrigerator, we found that the ice production could only be halted if the stop handle was manually lifted.
  -Upon inspection of the patio grill post your stay, we were dismayed to find a burned grill brush and plastic residue. We trust this was an oversight as we doubt you would treat your own home in such a manner.
  -We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the stove malfunction during your stay. While it's true that appliances can sometimes fail, please rest assured that it is currently being repaired. However, what truly matters is the exceptional response of our property manager. It's regrettable that the only detail you recall is the moment they "hung up" on you. In reality, they promptly prioritized your issue, immediately rushing to the condo to assist with the stove after the call ended.
  -As for the location of the second bedroom, while it faces a dead-end road with minimal traffic, its biggest advantage—ultimate privacy—was not mentioned. Guests often appreciate the tranquility and uninterrupted views of the ocean and mountains afforded by this corner unit.
  -We genuinely appreciate all feedback, as it allows us to continually improve. Thank you for providing yours.

  The views are amazing. Well stocked kitchen beach chairs and umbrella. Quiet location very relaxing. Loved waking up to the sound of waves and the unbelievable view

  Not many words needed on this one. Great location right above Hideaway beach. Incredible view of the coast from almost every room. Huge patios that make you not want leave. Updated unit with all necessary amenities.

  No question that we'd stay here again.
