Older, but well maintained and stocked. Direct access to a wonderful beach. Light switches were difficult to figure out (perhaps upgraded switches would help), but once deciphered, worked fine. Would definitely stay in this condo again. Thank you.

We only stayed one night due to condition of the condo. Condo smelled like mold when we arrived coming from 3 AC units. We turned them off and the smell went down only to look inside the units and see what appeared to be mold. Light bulbs were out, toilet paper dirty, switches were sticky, ceiling speakers had mold. Not in excellent clean shape as indicated on the listing. At first things went well, owner (Ohio), local Evolve was very responsive, told us to "do what we needed to do for our health" as we were coming down with sore throats and coughs. He said the AC units were cleaned late July and could not understand why this would be happening. But they were clearly moldy and dirty. There was a trace of water down the wall under one unit as if it had been leaking. Took extensive pictures and sent them in to Evolve and owner. But as the night went on myself and kids got sicker. Owner got a AC tech out on Sunday morning to try to address it. AC tech told me it was algae and my son-in-law it was dirt. He dismissed anything we said. He did take one apart and clean the vents. However, there was dirt/algae/mold in the inside of the unit that the AC tech didn't do anything to. We got on a chair and wiped the speakers to clearly see dirt/mold, but the AC tech (without looking) declared it was rust. We left at 9:30am next day as tech had only done 1 unit and had 2 more to do. Owner started accusing us of making it up. We were very sick which went away wi 2 hours of leaving condo.

Mary, thank you for your feedback. We take the condition of our property and the health of our guests very seriously. Our condo is professionally cleaned and maintained after each stay, including regular servicing of the AC units multiple times a year. We also had an HVAC technician inspect the units promptly during your stay, and they did not find any mold or contaminants inside the units.
We understand that concerns about cleanliness and health are very important, which is why we acted quickly to address your concerns by having a technician on-site. We appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention and will continue to ensure that our property is kept in top condition for future guests.
The three split unit air conditioners did not work. I tried to trouble shoot them, use different remotes, reset the breakers etc. They didn’t work.
The house smelled like mold when we walked in. Both my daughters (who don’t know what mold is due to being young) mentioned how “smelly” it was inside.
Looked closer at the three AC units and all were filthy with black mold inside.
I would not allow my family to stay in an environment that poses a health hazard so luckily found another condo on the opposite end of Maui. Everything in the Wailea Kihei area was booked. Not surprising as I was trying to find a new safe place at 3 in the afternoon for that day.
We ended up moving out. The time spent dealing with this was ridiculous. Probably spent at least four hours between the arrival, dealing with the moldy ACs, finding a new condo and moving. Wasted an entire day. Not to mention due to the last minute nature of booking a new and clean condo, we ended up spending over $2000 more than the original condo cost, which we are still waiting on reimbursement!
I called Evolve, the property manager and to their credit they were actually helpful. They did also tell me that the AC system is a known problem and there were notes and complaints on their end about it.
Don’t rent this condo. The five star reviews are BS. We have stayed in the complex before and it is great. Just don’t stay in this unit.
And yes you need the AC in Maui during July. It was over 85 that day and the air coming into the unit felt cool vs the interior temperature of the condo.
Waiting to see when I will be refunded my money and what evolve will do about the added costs associated with it.

- We want to assure you that the condo is free from mold, unpleasant odors, and health hazards. The unit is regularly cleaned and sanitized by a professional company, and neither other guests nor our team have reported these issues.
- The A/C issue you experienced wasn't known before your report, as you were the first to bring it to our attention.
- Though you checked out before the problem was resolved, we still provided a full refund for your stay as a gesture of goodwill and hospitality.
We work hard to provide an excellent guest experience and look forward to hosting many satisfied visitors.
Thoroughly enjoyed this location. The beach out front had some of the best snorkeling of our entire trip. Host was great to deal with.

This property is located on a great beach in a quiet condo complex. Centrally located near food and shopping in Wailea and Kihei. Lived up to all the photos online. Great trip!
