Dave and Rebecca have an amazing property and were the most accommodating hosts! They have put so much thought into their home and everything in it, and have ensured their guests have an excellent experience. Spacious living area, comfortable beds, close to sandy beach, many beach accessories to make our beach day better, and great tips of places to go. Awesome all the way around! Mahalo!

We really enjoyed being here and the location of the property. The hosts were in the downstairs apartment and were so friendly and accommodating, Dave even offering to grill some steaks for us one night and Rebecca gave me a birthday gift. They were sweet and kind and very hospitable. We were surprised by how hot the house was, but the AC units cooled It down for us and we came to learn that it was a luxury to have the cool air as very few places on the island actually have AC. We would definitely go back.

This home is near the end of a cul-de-sac with a huge mango tree. Check-in was very easy. The owner left us a basket of fruits, box of chocolate, and bottle water in the fridge. Our party was 4 adults and 2 children. The 3 bedrooms house was perfect for us. We enjoyed the air conditioning in the bedrooms because during the day and night it can get very humid. There is no AC in the common areas.
I got to talk to Dave and Rebecca during my stay. They were very kind and down to earth.
Our schedule was very tight during our 4 nights in Kona. We did not get to use the aboveground pool or walk to Magic Sand Beach. If we did, there is a bin with full face snorkel gears, vest, and miscellaneous beach stuff in there.
We cooked a simple breakfast almost every morning and one dinner. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, bowls, cups, utensils. We even used the blender to makes smoothies with the fruits we got. We did like how there was a Brita filter to use. It was helpful.
There were plenty of bath towels in the bathrooms and beach towels in the bedrooms. This place provided a small bottle of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. We did not use the beach towels, but my friends and I love the bath towels. It was very thick and absorbent.
Since I only used the masters bathroom, I can only report on that. There is no door to close it off the master bedroom. If you don't want your child to see you shower or do your business, you have to tell your child to go to the living room. Also the shower was initially confusing to turn on/off.
Thank you for allowing us to rent this place. It was lovely. Waking up to the birds singing was a nice surprise.
We enjoyed our stay at Rebecca and Dave's home. There is a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and three bedrooms, which was plenty of room for our 4 adults and three children under 13. It is perfectly located on the Kona coast, about a 5-minute walk to Magic Sands beach, and easy driving access to all of the sights on the Kona side of the island. We really appreciated that the owners, Rebecca and Dave were living on the property because it gave us a sense of security. They were very kind, friendly, and accommodating people. We had access to their round above ground pool for afternoon cool offs. They also had boogie boards, chairs, and plenty of beach towels we could take with us on our trips to the beaches. Dave has an excellent bar-b-que, and we had the choice of charcoal or propane. There also is a most excellent covered seating area with lights and fans where we could eat outside or just relax in the shade. The property is located in a residential area away from downtown Kona, so we had the experience of living in a residential area, and we were a 5km free Hele Bus ride to downtown Kona. There is an outdoor market in downtown Koan where we could purchase in season fruits and vegetables. Every morning, we had the wonderful experience of being wakened by all of the colorful birds. We were there in March, so it was sunny every day, with some rain overnight which was perfect.
