Beautiful Home in the Woods
5/5 What a beautiful home! The furnishings, layout, outdoor space - AMAZING!
Definite pros:
Two bedrooms on main floor king/ensuite and queen with spacious hall bath.
Open LR, DR and kitchen with comfy seating and lots of windows and access to large outdoor porch with seating/dining and FP. TV's everywhere with access to streaming worked beautifully to watch football. Lower level bedrooms with king/ensuite and bunk room with hall bath. Second kitchen open to rec room, pool table, shuffleboard, FP, and access to deck with hottub. Quality furnishings everywhere. Kitchen has toaster, coffee pot, toaster oven and crock pot. Lots of deer on the drive up and in the yard of the house. Went to the Apple Festival and enjoyed seeing all the local artisans and enjoying all the unique food.
The drive up to the house is narrow and gravel. Rec center is a long drive and difficult to access. The view from the deck is woods with dropoff down to the river. Steps to river are very difficult and steep.
We saw a mama bear and 2 cubs in the yard the first day and one of the cubs came to the front door. Amazing to see, but kept most of us inside.
Overall a great place to gather for all ages.
Beautiful home… a few tweaks would have made our stay perfect!
4/5 The home is beautiful, very clean, and everything feels fresh and almost new. I would absolutely return if I had opportunity.
Positives:
Clean, beautifully decorated, beautiful setting with the creek view, very secluded (one neighbor next door but still private) and definitely has the “mountain cabin” feel. The pool table and shuffle board tables got a lot of use- the kids also loved the video games and the hot tub too.
Not so great:
-Miscommunication about the community amenities- they are not free (as I had been told in all of our communications up until the day before we arrived), but after a bit of pushback, the host kindly provided us with 2 cards (enough to cover 8 of the 12 of us).
- It would have been nice to have some direction/explanation of the community amenities in the house someplace. Only after searching for the communities website did I find out where everything was located. Be aware- the rec center is a 20 minute drive on very twisty neighborhood roads, and the larger outdoor pool is a 9 minute drive on the same.
- no cutting boards to be found, pots and pans were in rough shape, not enough bath towels for 12, beach towels would be a helpful addition as well.
- king mattresses were not very comfortable- seem to be low quality.
With all that said, we did enjoy our stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful mountain getaway.
Oh one last thing- go down the stairs to the creek at your own risk… the trip back up is brutal! 😂

5/5 Nothing negative to say it was wonderful. Loved everything about it.
Every thing worked well it was clean and the hot tub was great. Loved the dishes. Wish I knew what kind they were and I’d order some for home!
Deer Sanctuary.
5/5 My family had a wonderful time at the cabin. Beautiful scenery, lots to do inside, 🦌 everywhere. Downtown Ellijay has cute shops and lots of antiques. Rooftop restaurant was delicious. Driving around was so beautiful. Scenery everywhere. 25 mins to Makayzville, nice shops. Spent the day at Rock city. Made it to The Tumbling Water fall.....so beautiful. We will be planning a trip in the fall soon to see the colors on the trees and crisp cool air next time. Haylee our guest contact was so quick to respond if we had any questions.

Best Cabin EVER!!!
5/5 This was the most luxurious and most gorgeous cabin we have ever rented!! The owners thought of everything from a fully stocked kitchen, games for kids and adults, string lights above the huge hot tub, multi level decks with upscale furnishings to sit and listen to the sound of the river, outdoor and indoor fireplace, an echo dot in every room so you can listen to music, oversized showers, and beautiful decor. I could go on and on!! We will book this cabin over and over!
