We loved the cabin, the river, the fire pit!! There is a woodpecker that is making a hole outside so he was a little loud but the wildlife was so cute!! Thanks!

  • Beautiful, Peaceful, Relaxing!

In general our stay was extremely pleasant! My two older sisters and myself booked this cabin for an annual Siblings Retreat. With the exceptions of a few problems our stay was perfect. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin and the linens. The beds were comfortable and met our needs adequately. The rooms and spaces were spacious and would accommodate more guests than our three easily. The main room and all three bedrooms had great lighted ceiling fans with easy to use remotes. There was a large deck on the side of the house connecting to a wonderful and highly used screened back porch that ran the length of the back of the house where we could lookout upon the Coosawattee River and enjoy its flowing waters. The furniture in the main room was even newer than the photos and included two very comfortable couches with with built in recliners on both ends. The appliances worked well and efficiently for all of our needs. However there were a few issues, some minor and some major, that should be addressed. 1) Communication- upon arrival we could not easily find the guest notebook. I attempted to contact the guest host by phone and email and have yet to receive a response. We needed the password to the WiFi. About two hours later we finally found the notebook in the corner of the room and were able to connect. 2) Trip Hazard- the rug underneath the dining table had some edges rolling up creating a trip hazard for people. We had to be especially careful as it is a dangerous possibility for seniors and children. Those are the two major issues we had with the property. We also had a few minor problems: 1) Although there was a Firepit and fireplace there was no wood. Why I think this is strange is because the firepit was one of the advertised features of the cabin. 2) There was no upper screen in the entry door to the cabin. We could not leave the door open for the breeze. 3) The bathroom rugs appeared dirty and we did not use them. 4) The street number sign that told you where you were was turned away from the direction of travel to reach the cabin. We had to drive past it and back up in order to verify we were at the right place. Most of these problems could/should have been corrected or addressed. A simple communication would have gone a long way in making our stay more enjoyable. That is the main reason we gave the cabin only four out of five stars. I repeat, our stay was truly extremely pleasant. It was peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing

  • Very good!

The cabin was amazing! It was very clean and the owner even left a basket of fruits and snacks, and all of the closets had items like bug spray, sunscreen, etc. The house was beautiful, and it was right on the river. Overall it was a very good time and I highly recommend coming to relax and have fun.
