We rented a few homes in Big Canoe for a reunion. The development is great. Definitely go to Beach Club one day! This home was our gathering spot with great outdoor porch spaces - options with covered, fans, screens, etc - a few different options. Grill had piped-in gas - great! The home is spacious and inviting. Decor is like a lodge with lots of themed things everywhere (we removed and replaced some on all the counters to childproof). Stocked kitchen. True to description.

Beautiful!!! Had to kill a few wasp when we arrived, but other than that, it was everything I hoped it would be!!! I’ll be back in the summer!!!
We chose this rustic chic mountain retreat for our family trip because of its many listed amenities and the fact that it had plenty of room for everyone in the family to have a comfortable sleeping arrangement of their own with plenty of spaces to gather and be entertained. The fabulous chef's kitchen was well stocked and open to the living room, so preparing meals was a family favorite, enjoyed by all and served in the attached dining room. We also loved hanging out together in the game/pool room downstairs while enjoying game day on the big screen and watching movies in the attached "theater room". Can't say enough about how magnificent the master bedroom was with its vaulted ceilings and its own fireplace as well as attached screened porch. The homes' furnishings and decorative accessories (including art work, lamps, bedding, blankets, throw pillows, etc...) were ultra nice and reminded us of a "Yellowstone" vibe....with a wonderful collection of beautiful, timeless treasures gathered over many generations. We truly felt the rich history of days gone by as well as the homeowners' true love of their unique space filled with so many intentional details to visually explore. We absolutely loved being together in beautiful Big Canoe and the "Plummer Lodge" was perfect for our family's mountain retreat!
"Tech Trouble" is in reference to the fact that we could not get two of the three gas log fireplaces to work, even after requesting help. Temperatures were very cold at night and warmer during the day, but it would have been really nice to have a roaring fire in the fireplaces on those cold nights while enjoying our time in the family shared spaces.
The indoor temperatures were also difficult to maintain due to our lack of "tech" knowledge on how to operate the digital HVAC system. (Would be helpful to have instructions provided at check in with codes given.) However, even that did not affect the success of our family's mountain retreat and the many blessed and happy memories we made together while in "Paradise at the Plummer Lodge!"
Owners response: "Thanks for your response, thermostat instructions can now be found at the house. Additionally, we noticed that the main valves were not turned on using the fireplace key which is probably why they were not working. Thanks for your many thoughtful comments and we're glad you enjoyed your stay."
The home was perfect for our Labor Day weekend stay with another family - plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids to spread out, which was good since it rained all day during one day of our trip. A lot of kitchen supplies, and the kids loved the pool table and game room. Definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Plummer Lodge. We were there as a nonprofit board on retreat. The lodge was roomy and the kitchen well appointed to allow us to cook meals. There were so many places to relax and talk. The screened in porch with the babbling creek in the background was a favorite! The bedroom inside the closet seemed strange at first, but we all got such a chuckle out of it and every bedroom and bath was beautiful. Everyone said we'd love to come back again next year. You have a lovely home. It was a joy to get to stay there!
