Our First Family Vacation with our Dog!
5/5 My wife and I decided to start taking our family on shorter weekend trips or “mini vacations” to increase our family time together and disconnect from our every day busy life.
This was our first “mini vacation” and everything was perfect!
The trip included my wife and I, our 5 year old son, and our 3 year old German Shepherd. The cabin was very spacious, beautiful, and had plenty of amenities that we thoroughly enjoyed. The fenced in yard was a huge plus as the dog was able to roam freely. We really loved the outdoor fireplace as we would have coffee in front of it every morning and then enjoy post-dinner s'more's each evening.
My only complaint was the hedges were not trimmed and it looked bad, but this didn’t affect our trip in any way. I let the guest contact know about the hedges and she said they will take care of it.
Really can’t ask for anything more than that.
We would happily stay at this location again and look forward to doing so in the future.

great cabin close to Blue Ridge
5/5 Good central location for Blue Ridge area. Lovely outdoor area and fenced in yard. Accommodations are great especially for two families. We were there in the summer but I think the winter would be even better

Awesome place!
5/5 Cabin was well off the beaten path: secluded, quiet, peaceful, yet just a few minutes from Blue Ridge. Plenty of room, well-appointed, and perfect for a family getaway. The outdoor fireplace on the porch/deck was a huge hit!
Homespun Comfort
4/5 Firstly, an absolutely beautiful cabin with all the right amenities ( ie. 3 fireplaces and hot tub, and soft blankets). Secondly, we would definitely consider staying again. With that said, there were other reviews expressing concern regarding the door code not working. Well we assumed that issue was fixed, only to find out it wasn’t. While there was an easy fix provided by accessing a key, it turned out that the solution wasn’t optimum as I inadvertently lost the key, and had to wait 1 1/2 hours in the cold for Nick to come and let us in. Again, we enjoyed our experience and do not expect perfection but maybe a little more attention to detail that previous Evolve properties have provided.

From the owner: "We are so sorry that the August lock went out on you! We were at the cabin the first week of January and replaced all of the batteries, so we thought that they would hold power until we were able to get back after your stay to replace the entire mechanism. Unfortunately, the batteries failed, obviously, due to the lock mechanism itself, we are so sorry for your inconvenience, we will never use the August Lock system again and hope that our new mechanism works much better!"
