• More to consider than just pictures

  We were super excited about this rental, but had immediate concerns on arrival. First, the neighborhood was less than to be desired if I'll put it nicely. I would suggest anyone renting to do a google street view and decide for yourself. We did like the fact that it was less than 1 mile from the MARTA (train) station.

  When I arrived at the house the code that was provided did not work, I was stuck outside with the mosquitos biting me (came from the train so no car to escape in), and the owner WAS NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE, TEXT OR EMAILS. Finally he answered and gave me a different code.

  The listing says enjoy the outdoor space but (1) there was no outdoor furniture (2) again, the neighborhood was "less than desirable" at best.

  Go inside, we immediately realized the game room sleeping arrangement they called a pull out sofa wasn't a pull out, and nor did they have any linen for it. So we were 8 guys (not couples) with 1 bed short. The owner said he would check and call me back, but never did. Had to go to the local store to by linens.

  They advertised that it sleeps 12 but they only had 9 towels (which was ok for our purposed), but only 4 washcloths.

  The upstairs hallway shower leaked into the kitchen ceiling (recurring evidence of this) so we could not use that one. Again I messaged the owner about this without response. But there were 4 other showers which made it ok. No complaints about the other sleeping arrangements (7), as advertised. One on main floor (queen) and the remainder upstairs. The 1st floor did have 2 full bathrooms, however the one in the game room had no way to secure it (barn door).

  There were some damages to the property that I documented upon arrival for my protection, but most of it was superficial. One major concern I noticed was the loose wiring on the garbage disposal on kitchen sink. Especially if you have small children, beware.

  The home was missing items that every other short-term rental I've stayed in had to make it feel more like home. No ironing board (iron present), no coffee maker, or condiments for coffee. Things like ketchup, mustard are always nice. A very limited amount of dishes, again considering they are advertising for 12 people. Doors and some windows missing window coverings.

  Overall I'd say it was a really nice home, but some shortcuts were taken. I'm not even saying I wouldn't stay here again if similar situation was called on (number of beds and baths), but I'm just providing some additional information for you to consider before booking.

  I never felt threatened in the neighborhood personally, and to my knowledge no incidences happened during our stay.

  I like everything the house is perfect and the service

• Worst VRBO stay ever!

  This stay was not up to the VRBO standards at all!!! I am not even sure where to begin this review. I have never given a bad review renting through VRBO and I have never rented a home that had so many concerns!!

  First, we were unable to sleep in the master because there was some sort of bleach fumes that burned our eyes and throats. In fact, even the water smelled like bleach so there may be a serious issue with that.

  Second, the upstairs was set to heat and it was 81 degrees in the house. We could not change the temperature because you needed a code to change it and after we text and called the evolve team we still received no response as to how to change this setting.

  Next, there are no curtains anywhere and the neighborhood is ROUGH!! The listing says enjoy inside or outside but I would NOT sit outside at this property at all! In fact, there was a shooting a couple of houses down on our first night as well....this was at 2 am but we were already downstairs on couches because of smell so we could hear all the commotion clearly.

  There are lights shining directly into the other upstairs bedroom so our friends that came with us had lights BEAMING on them the entire night. (There is a sign asking you not to turn them off)

  The plastic that the mattresses were purchased in was still wrapped around the beds and then sheets put on top of that so you can imagine how comfortable that was. There were also bugs found on multiple occasions.

  We were in Atlanta for a sold out concert and the bball games were going on so there were not any affordable options for us to leave or we would have not stayed. We decided to just sleep on couches and endure for the weekend.

  Lastly, as we were leaving and taking out the trash, the cans were so full we could not even put our trash in them so we just had to tie it up and leave it at the back door.

  Beware if you are thinking of renting here... it looks nice in the pictures but looks can be deceiving.
