  • The worst rental experience we have ever had

    We showed up to an extremely dirty house. The floors, sinks, garbages, fridge, coffee pot, stove top, oven, toaster oven, bathtub, just about everything except the beds. There was also no washer when we were promised one. There was food in the fridge from previous tenants, half used items, etc. Silverware and utensils in the drawers were filthy and used. The only sponge available to do dishes was disgusting/stinky. It was the dirtiest rental I’ve ever had. I reached out to the property manager (who is also the homeowner and the cleaner), who showed up on foot and started pounding on the door unannounced. She proceeded to burst in the door, yell at me and argue with me about every concern I had. I told her multiple times how uncomfortable she was making me, especially because she was yelling at me in front of my 1 year old daughter. She was beyond rude, cold, careless, and even shrugged and told us to just leave then. Even admitted to not even trying to clean certain things. She finally stormed out again, but continued insane behavior throughout our entire stay. She showed up unannounced constantly, would close the gate and do things around the property in the dark while we were inside, at one point entered the home while we were in another room changing. She watched us through her Ring doorbell, we were literally stalked the entire time. There’s so much more. DO NOT STAY HERE! Owner is insane!

    We loved the location of property close by to everything we wanted to explore the hot tub was the highlight of our vacation home was beautifully furnished with everything and more you could need to be comfortable and relaxed

  • Punta Gorda Vacation Rental

    This home is in a quiet neighborhood, just the sort of place we enjoy going for walks. It is well-maintained and we had no issues with the property.

    We did have trouble with our car and our host,Pamela, suggested a repair shop to check. We did, and were very pleased with the service we received.

    Our one concern relates to the rental cost. We rented for three weeks and, with the rental on a daily basis, the total cost was quite high. We would like to see a weekly or monthly option that would reduce the cost per day, especially since the owner would be less exposed to income lost during vacancies during the rental period.

    The property was ok for the price. The things that we feel need improvement are: clean the ceiling fan blades in a few of the rooms, a big need for SHARP knives and containers for leftovers, leftover food in fridge from the last occupants should have been removed,( ok with us if condiments are kept) , a few screens on the windows would be appreciated on mild days; especially in the bathroom where there is no exhaust fan, more than 2 kitchen towels and dish cloths and a dish pan. A couch in the living room would be appreciated. Also, since we were there 6 weeks, we would have really liked to have vacuumed the rug but there’s no vacuum available. The good points are the comfortable beds, well working air conditioning and heat, fully fenced yard and hot tub.

  • Daughter’s Birthday Long Weekend

    It was the perfect get away for a long birthday weekend that wasn’t in the 30s! 85 weather was perfect! The hot tub was just the icing on the top. After our walking and adventures during the day we were able to come back and just soak. Thank you!
